Me too. I remember sitting on the hill one day in the pouring rain watching John Dorahy absolutely carve Souths up. Was also there the day of the face slapping incident. Many great memories from that old ground. Used to go back to Lidcombe Dancers Club after games where you could mingle freely with the players and saw how Roy Masters got his nickname of Thirsty. Boy could he put a beer away.

Sione Katoa played against us in the trials and looked really good. Was in the sharks team for Round 1 but broke his jaw at the start of the game.

Newtown team is solid, some definite strike power there.

they also had big wraps on Billy Magoulias, he sitting on the bench so id say the squad is strong.

Back to Lidcombe… Will try to get down there

Yea back to Lidcombe is a great day - even better this year playing Newtown. Unfortunately i can't make it this year but if you have some time on your hands and want to see a full days footy and meet some ex maggie players it's well worth it.
