You are kidding aren't you

Folau is going to want 500 k to come back

You don't pay wingers 500 k no matter how good they are sorry

He got 400 k to join the Broncos WTFL and that was fair few years ago now

Folau will be a marquee signing for most clubs. So you could expect him to take up a clubs marquee sponsorship dollars.

Easily he could expect up over $500k IMO.

He probably wouldnt be much more $$$ then what Lote is on at the moment, and then when you consider the salary cap will increase when the new TV rights come in, its quite possible.

However I wouldnt want to sign him considering he has been in a completely different sport. It wouldnt be worth the risk for the $$$. Like prmz said, I'd prefer a 7.

Personally I don't mind where he goes, I just want to see him back in League. When I first started watching games a few years ago I could remember some guy who was able to jump so high above everybody else. Some fella named Cronk would just keep kicking to him and try after try would come from his leap.

Agree 100% he would be a marquee signing to any club. Definitely could net 500k easy.

He'd have a very high price tag and isn't really worth it (he was good, but he's no GI). Not to mention he has shed lots of weight since converting to AFL, he'd have to pile it back on to have anything close to the same impact he had before the switch.

The Broncs created that culture under Bennettt where Sailor & Tuqiri (+ Carne & Hancock) earned far more than their worth at club level - and that is why they went to Union!!

Bennett is an ex-winger who looked after his old compatriots - even to the point where bringing Wendell back to St George after his drugs ban - prevented a young Jason Nightingale a spot & sent Josh Morris to Canterbury (in favour of 12-18 months of Gasnier)!

I fully understand that Premierships are a rarety - but putting everything into one go at it while ignoring the medium/long-term interests of the club and incumbent players is something our fledgling club cannot afford!!

The club should have far higher priorities than spending massive dollars on an outside back.We have under 20s coming through who will do the job if given the chance next year

id like to see him back in the NRL but not at the tigers. not good value for money IMO. i'll be interested to see what mal & the qld selectors do if he comes back

If there was no salary cap and money was not a consideration he'd be awesome for us (and every other club), but given financial constraints, id say he will be worth more to other clubs than he is to us, he wont be a tiger.

Dell came back to the Dragons while Brown was still in charge.

A friend saw him out before the Swans/ GWS game. he is playing reserves at the moment.

I think that might have more to do with his development rather then his actual form

Interesting. I just assumed it was cos he was struggling. But then I don't watch a lot of AFL so don't know how he has been going.

He is coming back from injury and they are just easing him back into the main team.

I assume you're a bit of a comedian then Craegus, Folau is all at sea in the godAwFuL game, he'll be expected to see out his contract but it will be one hell of a desperate club that wants him after a couple of years out of the Greatest Game Of All, on a side note how did a Minto Cobras player get hijacked to Melbourne in the 1st place?.

Red they were all home grown talent There is no way that any of them were on 400 k + a season

We don't have the attacking kicking game to make use of him, or at least haven't shown we do (though that could be due to who we have for wingers). We use grubbers in behind the defense, where as you need a good accurate cross field kicking game to make use of Folau.

Good cross field kicking game + Folau = lots of tries.

Farah in Origin showed an example of cross-field kicking perfect to a tee! Why can't we develop that into our own game. And we all know Beau under a high ball, could be so dangerous

Probably had a lot to do with the fact he was in his early teens when his family left Minto. Despite what others might want you to think he was never in the Wests junior rep structure…

Ryan Hoffman was another Wests Junior lost to Melbourne

They paid massive overs for a junior at the time. Everyone wanted Hoffman, they paid most for him
