I’ve got issues with the way the quotes are layed out very weird extremely difficult to read and follow what’s been actually said

I'm getting the same lag issue too.
Some buttons are not doing anything when clicked.

I can see the CPU running hot (far more than normal) so that would explain the lag.

If everyone can bare with it for today, I'll run a full rebuild later tonight (Sydney time)

Yes please mate, anything to get the forum back to normal again. Really appreciate your efforts.

@Kul - It is no longer possible to create a topic from within the Unread topics section - when you click on create topic, it no longer gives you the ability to choose which section of the forum the topic is to be posted in.

Somethings obviously gone wrong in what was a minor update...

I'm taking the site offline shortly and will spend the next few hours do a clean install then restore things like avatars.

Alright, good news (mostly)

- I've run a complete install of the software and in doing so restored the avatars that somehow got lost.
- In doing so I found out why the problems started; it was a mistake by me during the loading of the patch a few days ago. It was my bad. Sorry. Essentially the server was trying to run the software twice simulteiously, this caused the CPU and memory to get hit hard (along with other things). I can already see that since reinstalling, the CPU and memory have returned back to where they were before 🙂

I'm going to keep monitoring things, please do post here if you pick up anything wrong. If you've previously flagged something and it's still occurring, please do remind me to look at it.

as you can see, once I fixed my mistake, the server load dropped from ~150% back to ~40% (there are two CPU's hence it goes to 200%)
