It is about time...

…we belted Parra.

For too long they have had the wood over us, even though they have been a VERY poor side for at least two years now.

I know we have beaten them a couple of time recently, but I still feel they have something over us.

It is about time we gave them a touch up. They have absolutely nothing this season: their offloads and second phase play used to kill us, they don't play like that anymore. Instead they try and play a grinding style like Melbourne, just without the talented players to pull it off.

I hope we are motivated and switched on enough to get the job done.

The only time I have truly felt we have had it over them was the round 3 last year. We completely dominated them in that game and they had no answers and we still only beat them by 11 points.

It's high time we put 30 points on this rabble. I'm hoping Hayne plays in the halves again this weekend, it's worked to his detriment and put more pressure on him to perform.

The Monday night game in 2009 we gave it to them 25-6 The only decent game Daine Laurie played for us when he got stuck into Fui Fui and two Tigers players got injured in the warm up
But your right guys Want to really give it to Parra and post a real score on them
If Saints and Cowboys both lose we are in equal 4th spot

We need some serious F/A out of the next three games.

I m hoping the boys bash them and we see some cricket scores.

If Souths can post 50 then the Tigers should score 80.

This is the season defining game. Treat these guys the way they deserve to be treated and put 20 on them. Do it with flair style and substance.

Grind out a 2 point win and I think we are also rans.

Hayne's unrelenting bombing attack on Ryan and Moltzen scares the living daylights out of me. I can see a few tries coming down that avenue.

yeh but parra always lift against us - i think they took us seriously after we flogged them a few times at a packed out Lidcome Oval in the 70's. never been the same since.

We had the wood on them for a few seasons back then - 6 in a row between 78-80\. I also remember we flogged them at a packed Cumberland Oval in one of those years.

If we play the first 40 well on Sunday, I think they will fold toward the back end of the game. Give them a sniff though and they will lift.

Prefer if the team concentrates on playing 80min of semi-final style football in preparation for September.

If they do that, the scoreline will look after itself.

Parra have been very competitive in most of their games over the past month or so. Okay they got a touch up by the Rabbits but that was a exception.

Iam really worried about this game, we have been up now for a long time and its so hard to maintain the rage.Any win will be a great win

I think you hit the nail on the head here.
Our defensive attitude early will decide it for mine.

I hate Parra and would love to humiliate them by 50, but as long as we play well, complete our sets and get to the kick, stick up for each other, like we have been and we're a great chance I reckon

I really don't care if we only beat them by 1 point, I've done a lottery tickets over the years with Parra fans, about the only real flogging for us against the Eels I can recall was one of the few games I've made it to back in 2004 at Leichhardt Oval.
There's always plently of expectation for us to beat Parra and I recall a game in 2006 when we were odds on the flog the Eels at ANZ and we in turn had our arses kicked.
Was down on the South Coast and found a little Bowlo to watch the game and 3/4's of the viewers were Tigers fans but at the end it was only my son & my misses watching as I went and played the Pokies!.

It would be great to see the WTs smash the Eels following a strong, disciplined start as Pratten park has mentioned. I would also like to see Benji make a break and run the lenght of the field to score after being chased but no parra player being able to catch him particularly after the last time we played them and he was run down (whilst carrying an injury).

I'm with you supercoach, Parra have been very unlucky in more games than not this year, similar to us in 2009\. It will be very tough, no doubt. Go Tigers!

I don't think we as fans should get too cocky, the Eels haven't been playing too bad.

They haven't got any pressure on them and will be confident against us.

I would be delighted to walk out of the SFS with just a one point win (obviously would prefer to belt them however).

I think we will drop a game before the finals to take the pressure off but lets make it the final game!

Para are a worry for me but I am confident we can smash them and go on and win all our remaining games.
Go Tiges!

You're right. Potentially we could have put a cricket score on them at Parra Stadium last year but we just couldn't finish the opportunities off and ended up needing Burt to miss from in front to win the game. Playing Parra is always the game i fear the most and quite frankly i've had enough of it. I hope the players feel the same.

I believe the team will want redemption for the last loss against Parra when they beat us with our worst performance of the season. A lot has changed since that loss and I'm expecting much more of the same intensity and commitment from the team that they have shown the last month.
