That's probably what the coach thinks.

We are now in Round 8 and clearly a worse side than last year. Injuries have been tough, no doubt, but this is very reminiscent of 2002.

Atleast in 2002 we has a excuse.

I can't see next year being any better…Robbie has just signed away his playing career to a team that will struggle to not win the spoon for the next 4 years.

Blame the coach, but Miller didnt bring the goods with a more experienced squad to direct. You expect him to do better under even more pressure?

You know what, I agree, it was Potters fault that Sheenius didnt persevere with him either, all the way from ole blighty.
 
Mac, I have an idea what you are asking from Miller, but I am afraid he doesnt have it in him yet. His contract next year will be a gamble, whoever takes him up.
 
I say again, he can't be any worse than what has been dished up in his absence and at least we'd be seasoning someone.

Throw him in and let him make mistakes without fear of being the scapegoat. If you're not going to persevere with him then it's time to do it with Brooks. How about Mitchell Moses? We need some damn attack and that kid is an attacking genius that is tearing NYC to shreds already. He's dominating that comp just like Ben Barba and Koroibete did.
 
He should have been persevered with. Lui was and turned out good. Given the same chances Miller could also have. Instead Sheenious stuffed him around and then Potter used him all off season and a couple of games and has done the same. If Potter doesnt have a halfback in mind to poach from another squad who he is currently working on then we are stuffed and Potter will get the arse very quickly.

Agreed…Our halves have nothing....we have REALLY struggled in attack the last 5 weeks.
 
I'd honestly go as far as saying that of the 4 halves that we've used this season Miller has been the best of them. Marshall has been horrible, Moltzen was ordinary in his half there and Sironen has effectively not even played halves football. Miller is getting screwed badly by someone.
 
I would too MacDougal but it falls upon deaf ears on here. He didnt deserve his demotion a month ago. He should have started tonight.
 
Unfortunately Miller didnt command ball, didnt dictate ball to Benji, nor was he quick with the ball when feeding the forwards. I am Magpies, Im not all up on the name (even worked with his dad at Sport M sportsware who stuffed up the numbering at the Super league dogs), but Siro straightens us up running at least, and can see a passing game coming soon. Miller just didnt show. Sirro isnt the future I agree, but he will be a solid custodian while the kids develop, and commands ball, which will buy us time as the kids come through.

The halves is no place for the meek.
 
How can u blame him? If u ask me farah should be dropped . So many stupid decisions . Need a dummy half that runs forward not sideways !!!!!! Kick on the second wtf!!!!!!

I said it for Miller and I'll say it for the others. Brooks/Moses would be no worse than what has been dished up by the others. Sack Marshall and hand them the halves jerseys now lol.

The sad thing is that the club now seems to be in a state of shambles. No Leagues Club (Ashfield) plus an obscene amount of money owing to our previous coach and at least one long term injured star would seem to have resulted in a shortfall of money to fund the following;
(i) An able coach. Unfortunately the club paid peanuts for a coach who has now shown that he struggles (with and without a full complement of the clubs known first grade players) to competitively coach at NRL 1st grade level.
(ii) New competitive players. 2013 has shown that there are too many current players have past their used by date.

Sure the club has had an extremely bad run with injuries but the writing was on the wall as early as the first match of the season against Newcastle.

I don't think that it does anybody confidence (opposition team excepted) to continually keep choosing young players who are not yet ready for the rigours of first grade football.

Redemption begins at the head office and precious little is being heard from them on serious major issues including the club's real financial situation and why the club cannot/doesn't buy any decent players. I think the fans really deserve to know as soon as possible the true answers on such issues. Otherwise the club is heading down a one way street to oblivion.
