This club has gone backwards under this coach who has never really had a long term plan and our club has suffered as a result. The structures and game plan of our team are laughable and continue to get worse. The players are not responding and haven't in my opinion for over 2 years. Its time for him to go.

Apologies. I missed a cowboys and Bulldogs win (pfft). I suppose the point i was trying to make was we don't even look like beating a good team. We have gone from a middle of the road team to a laughing stock of the NRL. The coach needs to go.
 
Actually finished on 18 points in 2021 made up of 1 bye and 8 wins:

1 x Bye
1 x Cowboys win
1 x Panthers win
1 x Bulldogs win
1 x Broncos win
2 x Dragons wins
2 x Newcastle wins

Quite a successful season when you compare it to our current trajectory.

I understand it's easier to get rid of the coach but that alone solves nothing, if the Roosters can offload whatever players they want whenever they want then there is a way. If we keep these misfits and punt Madge we will be speaking about this very thing in 4 years time again.
 
Big issue for me is our coach still maintained in his last presser we haven’t gone backwards when clearly we have , every year under him we go further down the ladder , we have given him plenty time to change some players and we have cash to burn but players won’t come to us , and he is the coach they need to work under , yes he can’t cop all the blame and who ever purchased some of the players was poor choice or last of the lot who may come to us , Sheens needs to step in now before this year is a total waste , move the coach on , get our next coach and once that coach arrives , interview each player individually and ask them do you still want to stay , and put in 100% for the new guy or if not request a release now with no pay out and move on , then see what’s left and go buy some guys who want to play under new coach , some people on hear say grab bench or fringe first graders maybe we do but we need to go land at least 2 more guns to come in with API and Papai , then you add Adam D and Blore and we may start to look ok , I just think the way we are going now , and I tipped us to upset the slugs this week we could be dead last at season end , we don’t want that , we need to make moves now , Madge is probably a great guy but our players are not turning up under him , as soon as we get points against us we are shot , we also have no attach left which we always had in us we just could not defend now we defend better than before but can’t score , that’s on the coach

With all due respect (always love your posts) the problem that we have is people in the club think that is what you deem a successful year. To beat bottom placed teams doesn't spell success to me. Have a go at the list you posted. Apart from the Panthers (who were half strength) the rest were bottom feeders. We even got spanked by the Dogs and Cowboys ourselves. How about we start coming out and beating top teams (maybe starting this week). Just then we might put some credablity back in the joint.

That is what many just don't want or try to understand.It is very easy to blame the coach when things are not going well and changing a coach is far easier than removing the main problem (poor players).Madge came to the club to build the club from its base, the problem is our foundations are closer to a swamp and not solid rock and it takes time to develop a firm base.He inherited overpaid underachieving players many who have now been moved on and to be honest our recruitment for more than a decade has been abysmal.I am not trying to excuse Madge as like everyone else he has his faults but he seems prepared to cop all the crap being thrown at him to make our club more competitive.
Every one of us is disappointed with where we are at the moment but throwing out the coach will do nothing to help our long term prospects.We need better players with an improved ethic its as simple as that
 
One thing i will say is next years team looks better and we still have quite a bit of cash to splash. Add in Laurie, Talau, Kepoa, Douehi, Hastings, Paps, Api, blore and Stefano and then soend our money on another backrower and a prop then we are a much better side even losing Luch and Tuilagi. This season however we will struggle to win a game until Douehi and Stef come back
 
Put Brooks in the NSWRL side asap and put young Madden and Hastings in the halves until Douehi returns then Hastings to lock. Lest they will show some ticker and urgency. Brooks is clueless and anyone defending him is either on hard drugs or related to him. Gildart needs to go to NSWRL asap as well. If Maguire doesn't do this then he deserves to go.

Legitimate question… had Brooks ever been dropped to reserve grade? To be honest it may actually be the best thing for him and improve him
 
Madge talked it up all off season in the press releases, how 'Wests Tigers will be playing a different style of footy' this year, and how Brooks is set to be 'unleashed' knowing AD, TT, AJ would be out for half/all season and the injury toll. Give me a break - he isn't a tactician or a people person, he's a coach out of ideas and perpetually stuck in his ways. We look lethargic because he keeps flogging them at training, it's no secret, most players are over him. You say we don't have the cattle, I say play a game that suits the team, stop trying to superimpose a style of play that's passed it's used by date, we're not Souths or Wigan...I don't want to hear about our D or 'building pressure' anymore, throw the ball around at least, that's supposed to be in our DNA, at least to go out swinging.. While I'm on a roll, Pascoe's reign of terror has to end too, we need footy smarts, not a hat salesman/marketing whiz. For 10 years the loyal punters have been getting mugged blind with promises of change around the corner - urging the fans to stay loyal, unite, commit, achieve, get on the bus, show our stripes when in fact we've gotten progressively worse in the last 4 years. Punters are walking away, this club has absolutely no shame. (Edited Post)

As far as I can see Peachy is undisciplined player on the field, he gives away so many penalities, oh dear I'm not sure what to say I can't see any improvement and as some of you say most of the players look like they couldn't care less, and no, we shouldn't be accepting this rubbish although we don't have a choice do we !
 
It appears the longer we keep Brooks the more his value decreases and the more we have to pay him. If he wants out - the players around him know it - we have to clear the path for it asap. He needs a change and so do we regardless of whether Maguire goes or not.
