It's criminal how underused Nofoaluma and Simona are

Absolutely criminal. They get absolutely zero quality ball in most games, and the only time they touch the ball is to bring it up. Teams don't kick it their side, they kick it to Lawrence and Richards who aren't nearly as effective a threat with the ball in hand. That's a smart tactic, but it seems like 95% of the Tigers plays are run for Lawrence who can't penetrate wet tissue and Pat Richards who shouldn't be creating tries at this stage in his career.

Meanwhile, Braith Anasta (the Tigers worst player by a mile along with Rowe, but at least Rowe is a replacement not a starter) who is camped on the right side gives them zero quality kicks to showcase their athleticism, and zero quality ball to get them into space. This is unacceptable. These guys are the two best attacking backs they have and the ball never goes to them. Moving Blake Austin to 6 will be such a boost to both of these players, as well as the return of Tedesco as the link man. Right now though, they are wasted. It's such a shame.

his use of simona and nofo reminds me of chess. i always make sure the biggest attacking weapon (the queen) is saved for the last but is always there as a sort of back up to save all the other pieces.

i think they will be used more further down the track. brooks is also stuck down the left hand side and knowing that he's the "traditional" halfback- later in the year i can see him running from side to side with his short and long kicking/passing game.

exciting times ahead.

I've never thought to myself that they were being underutilised at any point. They form an effective attack right across the park as evident with our club scoring record the best in the league and Nofo/Simona stats making a large slice of this.

Really not an issue to worry about IMO.

Potter may consider Nofo and Simo playing Teddy's role, that is running off the edge and breaking the line. He may try to use them that way later. Lawrence seems to have filled up a bit and use for bringing the ball forward.

There are a lot of posters here who have no idea how to watch and read a game and understand that in different games for different reasons some players are utilized or some or not. Some are targeted and some are not. It's the game.
We're are 5 from 7\. Be positive.

Because it doesn't make sense that two of our top 3 ball runners never touch the ball.

Simona was great last year because he touched the ball at left centre. This year, doesn't touch the ball enough.

Be patient. We are playing as a complete team not a one or two man show like we used to be. It'll happen. And look at it for your point of view. We are 5/7, sitting second with the best "For" in the comp and two of our top ball runners never touch the ball? How good will it be when they do.
Let's enjoy where we are, be positive and give the coaches the benefit of the doubt eh?

some people cannot find a place for Siro on return… if they can remember not to beat the ballplayer out of him as he moves to the pack, that kid will possibly unleash them and benefit from the threat of doing so when tucking it under his arm and loading up.

I suspect we may not see the best of Scissors for a while yet, but if we have our forwards still going hard and players like Simona & Teddy ready for his offloads, he could have a good end to the year.

Provided he makes a successful return from injury in a few weeks, I think he could be very effective on the right edge. In the games where he played backrow last year he made good metres, I see him improving on that with his added size.

In the past when we were losing i'd wait for Marshal Magic

Nowadays i pray Simona or Nofo get the ball, Those two kids are special, confident and well deserve to be in the team
