People forget 2011 pretty quick. Ayshford is a good player. This year he was shifted around so much, having spent large chunks of games playing as second receiver, left and right centre as well as lock.
His confidence had been completely shit upon this year. Ayshford played no worse than Lawrence this year, who also suffered the same positional shuffling this year as well.
Also, if we let Ayshford go, then that means Reddy will be our starting centre, and I can not accept that nor anyone who believes he's better than an out of form Ayshford.
All these departures are designed to do is get fans & nedia talking about player movements and not about Sheens & Humphries, who both need to be sacked.
I bet Folkes, D.Anderson, Brown, Potter could have taken this team to the top 4 where they should have been.
I hate the fact that loyal players are moved on when Blair, earning double of these players, had a worse season.
And now we're signing Tuqiri again and let Ryan go. Biggest [This word has been automatically removed] up ever. Ryan is half the age and on half the cash and playing twice as good as Tuqiri.

Lote is also on less cash under the cap ( much less from a cap point of view) and is only for 1 year . If beau had been willing to take one year we prob would have signed him instead . Lote is a smart sigNinG while we wait for nofoaluma to come through we have Utai and lote coverinG the other wing with koroibete

Love it clean up th joint i hold players accountable more then coaches ,recruitment is a risky job some years it works some it doesnt every team has its probs with salary cap and PLAYER managers pushing there weight around but we just hear the final contract details not wat actually goes on and is demanded

There have been a number of great talents in NYC and NSW Cup that are worthy of a run in the NRL. Didn't happen though. Sheens doesn't care much about juniors now as he once did. He's now trying to buy a successful squad.

Yep madunit - Sheens hardly ever give juniors a run except that we have had Sironen, Tedesco, Groat, Woods, Murdoch Masiala, Koroibete, Miller all get a run in FG from the 20s and has also signed all of them as well as Nofoaluma, Spence and Foutika to FG contracts for next year.
Keeping Tuqiri for one year provides experience and skill to a young backline and he will be a great mentor next year as Nofoaluma and Koroibete come through. Signing Beau for 3 years will both cost more then Tuqiri (who would have most of his cash be 3rd party deals) and would lead to us loosing one of our star junior wingers. Signing Tuqiri is both smarter, simpler and more cost effective as well as focusing on our juniors but feel free to ignore that and go with the Sheens vendetta
