Yep madunit - Sheens hardly ever give juniors a run except that we have had Sironen, Tedesco, Groat, Woods, Murdoch Masiala, Koroibete, Miller all get a run in FG from the 20s and has also signed all of them as well as Nofoaluma, Spence and Foutika to FG contracts for next year.

Keeping Tuqiri for one year provides experience and skill to a young backline and he will be a great mentor next year as Nofoaluma and Koroibete come through. Signing Beau for 3 years will both cost more then Tuqiri (who would have most of his cash be 3rd party deals) and would lead to us loosing one of our star junior wingers. Signing Tuqiri is both smarter, simpler and more cost effective as well as focusing on our juniors but feel free to ignore that and go with the Sheens vendetta

I'm guessing he did watch a lot of games. Anyway he has a valid point - you may not agree but it doesn't make him wrong. It seems the thinking is that come 2014/15 when some of these NYC players are in the NRL team the club won't be paying for Beau Ryan to play reggies and Lote will be long gone.

Anyway you say to get rid of two wingers and put another on the bench but don't say who you would play on the wing.

I agree with exactly what Yoss has said.

The thinking is clearly that they see the future is Noffa and Koro and I agree 100% with this this thinking.

Lote is a short term option for a short term situation, he has been retained to usher in the 2 youngsters over 2013 and will be soaking up retirement the year after once the kids are established.

People want a change, they got one and complain.

Had we have kept Heino and Ryan (incidently 2 of my favourites) we most likely would have held up the development of the up and comers and fans would be crying blue murder.

I can certainly see the logic of letting Beau go and resigning tuquri on a short term deal.

Good points Yoss and Goose. It couldn't be any clearer that the club sees a makeover in the backline on the horizon. It will happen soon, could happen sooner if Koro and Nofo put in big time in 2013\. It's probably been said a few times now but in order to change, of course the boat will be rocked. Most people don't adjust to change well but it doesn't mean it's not right. As much as i believe Sheens is a lucky bugger to still hold his job, the facts are clear. They are trying to right the wrongs of this season.

Groat wasn't ready, but he and Woods were forced to play because someone shipped off 2 of our props the year before and signed none in return. Koroibete only got a run when injuries and Sheens' reshuffling forced his hand. Miller was brought to the club two years ago from the Roosters and only appeared in one game this year even though we had no recognised halfback play all year in the NRL side after Round 3.

Nofoaluma could have been given a run this year. Never seen.

Nofoaluma and Koroibete are both better than Ryan, Utai and Tuqiri. Instead we keep the two oldest and slowest which means Nofoaluma most likely will have to wait yet another full year before he gets a look at first grade.

Just because they are signed to first grade contracts doesn't mean anything.

Plenty of bad decisions were made and I won't defend them, but we did bring in Bell, and Mullaney only received his 1st grade debut due to injuries and reshuffling within the Eels side too where he was 3rd choice behind Hayne/Burt. At Tigers Mullaney was going to be behind Tedesco and Moltzen and possibly even players like Ryan/Meaney/Humble, no point in holding him back.

That's not the point. Why support a team if you don't care about the team? Do you see the contradiction here? Just because people are angry and frustrated at the moment, doesn't mean they don't care. That's the difference you're missing here.

I must admit I think the same thing when I see all these people saying they won't be renewing memberships. Yeah good work fellas, nice to know you're all on board through thick and thin. Jeez I've turned up to watch some putrid sports teams in my time on both sides of the world, and some owned by shameful and downright criminal ownership groups, but my relationship with the club is bigger than either of those.

Right now, as others have said, this clean out is not a bad thing, rather it's just the apparent way it's been handled and since we exited meekly from the finals race most of us it seemed have wanted the coach to go so now we are seeing a player clean out - I just hope Robbie is ok and on board with this apparent new direction and that he locks in a contract to stay a tiger for life … This is what I want to hear

They tried to push sheens out 2 weeks ago and he was willing to go so long as they pay him out in full= $1,000,000\. As that was not an option for the WT , they have taken this action instead. This is the 3-5 year cycle that NRL clubs go through.
Don't worry about Robbie anymore, this is all working out for him staying a tiger.

Thanks George, that's great to see about Robbie… I wonder though, you mean moreso that we will have big dollars to offer him a great last contact OR that he has been assured we are to recruit and shake up to ensure success now and future ? Or both ?

I would have though Robbie was prolly happy for sheens to leave... Or is Robbie just Happy to stay either way provided he is financially looked after etc ?
