It's time to take the fight back to HBG

The issue is ..no coach in any professional sport gets a long period of time in the job when results are , let’s call it what it is,.. dire…couple wooden spoons, 13th and likely second last this year … if Richo was still here Benji would probably be out the door this year ,,,,if it’s the same again next year ( bottom 4) I expect they will cut him… it that means players leave ..then so be it …
I understand it’s a results driven business, but should all that happen we’ll simply come last due to the club not being able to attract good talent regardless who’s coach. Benji is copping a lot of flak, but almost every coach we’ve had since our last finals run has copped it from our fans at some point as well. Like I said I know Benji’s record isn’t great, but the next coach won’t be successful either.

They are failing anyway…it’s how professional sport works ..the coach gets the flick

This will be his third year without finals. And it’s not like he has a track record of guiding other sides to the finals. Whether it’s other first grade sides or lower grades. What we see with Benji is what we get. There’s no point of reference to say “Well, at least he’s done this”. At some point some have to start acknowledging that he’s out of his depth and we are all suffering because of it.
Do you expect the issues with coach to be fixed should Benji go though? Whoever our next coach is will ultimately fail as well. He’ll most likely have a weakened roster than what Benji currently has as players will walk like every time we’ve changed coaches and the club won’t recruit anyone good to take their place so ultimately the criticism Benji is copping now and every coach before him copped at some point, will happen again with the next coach and you’ll be calling for his head within 2-3 years.

Unless our Owners are Prepared to spend real money pathways and coaching then we will always be a repeat and rinse cycle.

Name a coach in any sport that has survived 5 years of terrible results ? Even that is longer than most ,,,

No point in discussing it with you you don’t understand or just ignoring the point I’m trying to make. Take care.

Just telling you what happens in professionals sports … they will concentrate on the immediate problem and worry about the next coach in due course

Can we dispel this once and for all. Let’s say that does happen. The way they are playing, would that be a bad thing? Benji is getting zero out of them anyway, so what are we actually losing if that did happen? Benji stays, we keep losing. Benii goes, the players that were losing under him walk. Why live in fear of something totally illogical?

If Benji was to be let go- the new coach would be remaking his roster. Good point.

In a way yes it will be bad considering we know how talented they are but we won’t attract anyone better or equal in talent to replace them. They probably would be better under a different coach, but no guarantees they stay with a different coach. Then whoever is the next coach is already at a disadvantage considering the roster will be weak as shit with some of these players gone. Then like I said in 2-3 years from now everyone will be saying sack the coach even though the roster is gonna be shit with shit owners on top of that. I’m just over the cycle of our fans thinking that getting a new coach will fix us when our history tells you otherwise.

Unfortunately, he won’t be able to get anyone of quality.
We say that, but Cleary came in & signed a bunch of guys that had him humming along before he jumped ship. Benji comes in & signs a bunch of guys etc.

Signing players isn't the problem.

The club needs to hold it's nerve.
