When i think of the better centres back in the 80's and 90's they could all create something from a nothing play. Be that creating an overlap on the outside with a draw and pass to their wingers but more-so i loved watching centres cutting back in field looking to link with an inside runner. It generally throws the opposition defense into array.
Too often these days we see the wide spread come to a halt with the centre or winger. Yet we have 2 players in Roberts and Noffa who love to cut back across the defensive line looking for holes. But for crying out loud their teammates just stand their watching. We need our boys running lines off these two boys. We will get some joy from it, no doubt. If not a line break it will be a quick play the ball for the next play with the defensive line scuttled somewhat.
We need to implement these type of plays to break through the better teams with strong defensive structures. So come on fellas when you see Roberts cutting back in field, which he dies atleast once a game, run at a gap and Roberts will put you through with soft hands. Don't just stand back and watch, it's your job to give him options.
Honestly cannot understand why this is not a thing.
I know that supposedly we are working on becoming some sort of a defensive unit and that supposedly that is what wins games, but are we so dumb that we can't do something about refining our attack.
You would think that under Madge our boys would be fit enough to do better than what our current line speed is in defense, our kick chase, that we would be backing up in attack and working on our off loads.
Sure, work on the defense, but a little razzle dazzle is what will really bring the fans through the gate and boost our membership numbers.
Surely it can't hurt, because the last time I looked, the team with the most points still wins the game.
Funny how the best defensive sides seem to wins premierships

Never said anything about not working on the defense and to get the most points and win we can also do it by restricting the number of points the other side scores, but why not put on a bit of razzle dazzle and score a heap as well.
I want to see heaps of tries scored, but mostly by the Entertaining Tigers.
I said on a another thread at some stage that I want us to win some games this year where we go on with it and put on a big score, not let the opposition back into the game, like we so often do and keep some teams to a zero score line.
Tell me I'm dreamin'.
