Ivan Cleary - THREAD..

I still believe sanity will prevail and Ivan will remain at WT. **Ivan Cleary is an exception to the NRL textbook in terms of methodology and honour,** fingers crossed that is still the case.

:blah :blah

The same Ivan Cleary who left the Warriors mid contract. Stop romancing what a wonderful person he is. He'll what's best for his family, not us.

Heard of homesickness? Little bit different to going back to the club that sacked you for mine.

That is not 100% accurate.

He had signed with the Panthers for when his contract did end, he had a year to go.

Warriors were in a form slump and so the released Ivan early

I want to hear from Ivan's mouth his intentions on this matter
Then I can rest

That is what I am waiting for, until then, I will not sink the slipper in

Has anyone heard anything to suggest he does want to leave?
I havent trawled through the previous 23 pages mind you.

it's all sheet talk.

Cheers i think it would be a bit of a dog act if Cleary up'ed and walked at this stage of a rebuild.

I don't really think behaving in a grossly dishonourable fashion would be good for his family.

Its funny, last night i made a joke about our recruitment grinding to a halt. Maybe its legitimate and the club does not know whose coaching in 2019.

A bank account full of $$$$$ might dull the pain

Dishonourable to who, the supporters? If it means he earns more money, i doubt they would care.

To the people who brought him to the club and gave him a chance and gave him control over the roster. To the players he brought across to the club on long term contracts. To the supporters of the club he asked to get behind him. Presumably some of these people he counts as mates and walking out on them at this time would be an absolute hammer blow to the club. Doing it to get more money would only enhance the dishonourable nature of the act when he's already well recompensed and financially well off.
