Ivan right man for the job?

He's the right man for the job but he needs the right cattle. Part of that is being hamstrung by the club's poor facilities - which isn't his fault. Tactically I think he comes up with good game plans, but getting the side to be mentally right each week is the hard part - yes some of that lies with Ivan but mostly its with the players - if they can't get excited about a game which their season rests on, then they need to have a good hard look at themselves.

Right man for job. But time is ticking.

Just not the right squad yet. Packer and Mat's have been a massive disappointment.

He is definately the right man to coach WT he has improved our defence with a team that lacks strike power but relies on hard work and graft. He has till the end of 2020 to get it right.Give him that time and if 4-5 games into 2020 there is no noticable improvement look around for someone else.
The only other coach we have had who would be equal/better would be Sheens and he totally lost the plot from about 2008.
I picked us to run between 7th to 10th at the start of the year because of his coaching not the strength of our squad and i still expect that.To be honest most judges had us as spooners at the start of the year and many of our own supporters had us near the bottom.
I give him a pass mark for what he has done so far especially considering the fact that our 2 best players (Woods/Tedesco) couldnt even be bothered and had decided to leave before he was appointed.
I trust Ivan to get it right,

Apologies about the rant

Yes he is. I have been defensive of Brooks but it is quite clear our 5th tackle options just aren’t getting us where we need to be. Sorry Brooks but time to make way

Must make the finals next year… No excuses no Moe garbage.. Enoughs enough

I can see us struggling again and all the apologists saying we were never a realistic chance anyway, and that 2020 is the year.

“Next year”. Our clubs favourite motto.

Yours is the most accurate and agenda free post ive read since the game. Its on the money.

The hard part now is for Ivan to work out which players have the mentality we need going forward and what room he has to replace the ones bringing us down.

I agree he is the right coach for us and must have the full term of his contract to keep on building,we must remember that he came into a huge mess and has used the broom to clean it up…I honestly think for this year he is sorting through the squad, since our cap problems have all but disappeared, fine tuning the squad will be his next agenda when the quality players he needs become available...all is not lost,it has been an entertaining year once again reading about poor recruits, the wrong coach, injuries to key players and we are still a rabble...but thats the WTs fanbase...I still appreciate Ivan and his efforts to make this a very good team and club...

Injuries to key players haven't help this season. Most we saying at the start of the season that we were a couple classy players short of finals. Attracting those players ain't easy. Not sure who some think we can sign. IC has asked for 3 seasons to turn things around. I know its painful now cuz we were so close to finals football but IC coaching history suggests he has Wests heading in the right direction.

A few times our smart plays out wide almost came off - luck is not always with us and especially after our miracle wins the previous weeks Dean Pay will be studying us intensely. Give Pay credit for analysing us so well.

Our guys are fast but not so big so we need that quick stuff out wide when we can't take it up the middle, without Woods we really can't take it up the middle, as well without Tedesco.

So our team is predictable unless Farah and Marshall can create something from DH but Father Time is catching up with them.

All is this is not Ivan's fault unless we blame him for Brooks but year beginning he was killing it.
