Ivan Strikes Again

The leadership group thing is funny but the whole nepotism thing I can’t subscribe to. Maybe it is, but we had no issues with nepotism when we thought Nathan was coming here. It’s hypocritical.

We have a captain. Do they?

The article I read states the Captain will be named from that leadership group at a later time..

Honestly who cares, hopefully it will be a miserable failure like it was here, but their roster is head and shoulders above ours and they'll probably thrive under the system.

anyone else have the feeling that Madge has done more in the pre- season than Ivan did all last year

Yes, I do. I definitely feel there's more sense of purpose and identity than there was with IC. I think IC's approach was to build slowly whereas Maguire as come in and stamped his personality on the club from day one. I think that just reflects the different approaches of the two coaches. I'm really glad we have one captain although Mbye was a bit of a surprise to me. I'm sure Maguire knows what he's doing though. I'm just glad the five leaders thing is over. I think it was stupid and just saved IC from having to make a choice he found personally difficult to make. I'm not surprised he's repeating the mistake at Penrith.

He's only been here a few months.

Let's wait until Round 1

There should be a ban on any further talk of 'Ivan the Terrible'. Cannot think of too many cases of greater treachery than this bloke.Long live 'Madge the Magnificent' !!!!!!
