Robbie Farah announces that he is moving on from the Wests Tigers to play the last couple of season in the ESL where he wins the Man of Steel award and leads Salford to their first ESL premiership where they will be paying his entire Wests Tigers contract due to having same owners. Tigers also release Joel Edwards, Curtis Sironen and Kyle Lovett to the club freeing up buckets of cap space.
Dene Halatau announces retirement, is given role as player welfare coordinator. (Note: He eventually becomes NZ Prime Minister.)
Chris Lawrence re-signs on restructured contract and same week makes Origin debut in 3rd Origin winning MOM on debut as NSW crush QLD. (Note: Goes on to play more than 10 Origins.)
Josh Addo Carr re-signs for further seasons and cements place in first grade.
Tigers sign Danny Wicks, David Klemmer, Richard Kennar and Greg Eastwood for 2017 season after what goes down in history as "The Great Koukash Cash In".
