and ive coached league @ junior level so i have the knowledge here and sheens has to play moltzen at 7, hes the best option at halfback in this club and if some one with a degree from ACPE can see this then surely sheens could.

so stop playing silly buggers sheens and play moltzen at 7.

What is ACPE? Is that one of those ones that you print out online?

I agree though, Moltz to 7\. I don't agree with the need to put Tuqiri into fullback though just because of his salary. This is a 'sunk cost' (Credit my non-ACPE, finance degree). We will be playing the same money for the TEAM no matter what. If the team clicks better with Lote on the wing, and say someone like Mullany in fullback, then that's how the team should be structured.

Because with that pay based logic, you could have said that Sheens was right to never play Gallant in 1st grade since he was getting paid a reserve grade salary….

lol…

i've just got Honors in Arts/Law from USyd, so I have no idea what i'm talking about

Payten for Halfback!

Hmmm…on second thoughts.....Payto could be worth a shot...

He always said he was a halfback in a props body. Seriously though, I reckon it will be Lui at 7 for round 1.

sorry guys i didnt mean to throw my credentials in your faces like that, i just feel that if a person of my elk can see the blinding obvious, sheens should see it as well.

my elk is bigger than your elk!

no but seriously, I think we all agree with you brother

Was Molzten the best option for halfback last year? Most certainly.

HOWEVER, in my view the jury is still out on whether he has the all round game to be long term first grade halfback. I still have some concerns over his oranisational skills and other aspects of his game. That being said, I wouldnt complain if he was our halfback this year but I dont blame the club for exploring other combinations.

i think thats where him playing fullback last season will help him be a fulltime HB, he is a great talker and he was always yapping when playing full back i doubt he would change in the 7, 5/5 is his record as starting half back, i like those stats.

at this point in time hes the best HB for the club, taumata and lui are to similar in their styles to compliment benji fully and properly, and i doubt ill be wrong about this

I still think people overstate Moltzen's influence on our 5/5 record at the backend of last year. Moltz was solid but not spectacular in those games (in fact I think Moltz played some of his better games at FB). The difference was that Benji stood up and played brilliantly. That will always be the key to whether we are contenders or pretenders. We played brilliantly against Parra - the fact we ultimately lost that game should not detract from the effort or the performance.

the canberra raiders strongly disagree with your assesment of moltzen

I agree Moltzen is the best bet as of now but I'm not sure I agree Lui is too similar to Benji. For one thing Lui seems a lot better organiser and tactical kicker than Marshall. 2010 is a massive year for Lui - he'll either kick on or be exposed I think.

In any case I think we are fortunate to have two (or possibly three) very handy options at 1/2.

5/5 from Ron not 1/1\. Surely even ACPE teaches comprehension skills.

i strongly believe the playing of lui at 7 verse parra is what cost us our season. moltz was pivotal in our wins over manly raiders cowboys and roosters, then for some unknown reason sheens decides to blood a rookie when our season is on the line.

The other point with Lui though…..... is that he attacks almost soley down the left...right to left...Benji's domain....Moltzen can and does play down the right and has a much better left to right passing game than either Lui or Benji.....

But I agree the club is in it's best state in the halves since Prince left......

Hayne had a blinder and we lost both of our wingers during the game. I'd say that had a big impact on things.
And I thought the reason why Lui came in was because Gallant got injured. Besides the same team did win 56-10 the week before…

I cant say I would have played Lui either but I can certainly say that playing Moltz at 7 in the Parra game would have made little or no difference to the result. We lost because of some Hayne freakishness. In respect of Raiders, Cowboys and Roosters games there were hardly top 4 teams but in my view Benji was they player who made the difference and Moltz was solid.

definatly not in the raiders game, it was all moltzen

Sorry, but this is crazy! Loosing both our wingers and causing a major reshuffle of our ENTIRE back-line contributed to ALOT in that game…. Lui at half-back hardly COST us the game...

how true

an acpe degree is held in the same stead as a tafe degree or bachelor of arts

What's your degree in then?

I don't have a degree, I've never even been to uni.

Every person I've met who went to acpe is a complete tool. They think they went to a special uni when in reality they were just too dumb to make a real uni and have rich parents paid for them to go to this college.
