Appears to be a few positive pollyannas on here. And that’s ok, but at least come up with some honest disclosure for your attitude.
We hear nothing from the club, I suppose because they have nothing. How about those pollyannas stop ***trying to ridicule fans who are simply hanging out for some good news,*** asking to be swayed by some tiny indication that the club has decided to develop as a professional organisation.

Im not a positive pollyanna, Im as disappointed as anyone else with our lack of success, but it doesnt get in the way of the truth for me.

As you said, we have heard NOTHING from the club at all in regards to JAC negotiations. After the Latrell experience, I would think everyone would welcome that.

But in the absence of news from the club, the ***negative nellies*** here simply make stuff up and that is not helpful in a discussion. I have read here that management has "fumbled" the JAC discussion (despite the fact we ahve heard nothing and know nothing), we are a laughing stock (despite the fact that Souffs and Bulldogs are in the same boat as us and many more imagined woes that have no basis in truth.

Myself and many others here have pointed out that significantly increased revenue, stabilised board structure, elimination of debt, increases year on year for membership, massive increases in sponsorship, appointing sponsor as chairman, Appointing twin premiership winning coach, cutting deadwood from coaching staff, establishment of the COE, signing Aus Schoolboys half and hooker, getting the Grant loan over the line, picking players on form and dropping high profile players regardless of profile and paypacket. signing of Tamou, LL, Blore, Stef, Douiehi.......are ALL very positive indications of the direction we are going, but you would be excused for not hearing it over the WHAAAAAAA WHAAAAAA WHAAAAAA

Interesting that you should go on the defensive at the mention of "positive pollyanna" ? You assumed that my post was directed toward you?
**"it doesn't get in the way of truth for me"**
A PP lives in no other reality but his dream world.

Another example of a PP.. makes up things to fit the dream world view.

Please show me where I stated as you say..
**"As you said, we have heard NOTHING from the club at all in regards to JAC negotiations."**
In fact I would never say such a thing because I believe that all NRL contracts are written "commercial in confidence."
Which is why I don't believe any of the claims made by those who are in the so called know.

Here's what I actually stated.. **"We hear nothing from the club, I suppose because they have nothing."**

Now I'm not asking for Justin Pascoe to have the courage of Don Quixote nor even have the same level of conviction or penchant for bold and ambitious goals as Benny Gale, but for gods sake.. give us something?
A true leader will have a vision..
**what is our vision?**
A true leader will inspire others to share that vision.. and not limit that sharing to an inner circle.
**where are we going?**
A true leader will know the direction..
**how are we going to get there?**
A true leader will negotiate anything..
I could go on, but I would be more than happy with that.
Put it out there Justin and go for it mate!
If you fall over get up and keep going, you'll have the fans on your side. JUST DO IT!!!

Great words about leadership.

It's become a throw away line for us over the years. Apparently we have a goal to win the GF every year.
No mention of our road map?
No mention of our measure of success?
Little wonder not a single person gets excited when they hear that goal each year. But even that goal (if you could call it a goal) leaks out under intensive interrogation.
A CEO should be more than just a sports administrator. He / she should be a leader.

Hey Freddy,

You forgot to mention that storm were shopping paps to every club in the Comp without success at the start of the season.

You also forgot that ado car was a South's junior, moved to the sharks, then was given his debut by the tigers. He was offered a contract by the tigers to stay. Was not "let" go

Tedesco was also offered a huge contract to stay, but he chose to jump onto a successful team rather than try to build one.

Nathan Brown was let go, but has bounced around a few clubs and only now selected for reps. And he is in the squad at this stage, he has hardly been a main stay for rep teams since he left the tigers.

How was fittlers retention, recruitment and development when he was coach of the roosters? He didn't last very long at the club that doesn't develop, only buys players.

Seriously Freddy, stick to the mung beans and yoga mate. You have already proven you can't run a club team top to bottom.
Just concentrate on picking the 30 best players for 3 games a year. No salary cap etc to worry about.

Seriously, he is becoming Gus Jr.

Well said another former player putting the boot into the Tigers into the off season. Agree with points above.

Considering Freddy is in the Media and requires a relationship with the Clubs and Players one thing that we could do is state that as a club we don't respect ill informed facts on a player that never played 1st grade for us.

Decline interviews or act like Wayne Bennett when being asked for feedback, let them know if they want to comment with negative comments we also act accordingly.

Freddy gets paid for his views being a former player/coach if there is not a relationship with clubs then it diminishes his value. Channel 9 becoming a joke with coverage.

Actually the Chairman should be the leader. The role of the CEO is to enact the will of the board.

You point was that because we hadnt heard all of those things from Pascoe, he is not a leader. you dont know that, it may be well communicated within the organisation.

The fact that you cant name the CEO of Storms, Roosters, Raiders, Souffs speaks to how much the CEO;s of these organisation communicate outside of the organisation, and these are successful organisations.

I love a good puzzle so I'm going to have a crack without googling.

Storm: Frank Panassi
Roosters: No idea, but Politis pulls the strings
Raiders: One of the Furners. Maybe Don Furner?
Souffs: Shane Richardson

***A CEO should be more than just a sports administrator. He / she should be a leader.***

Without googling, tell me the name of the CEO of The Storms, The Roosters, The Raiders, Souffs

I love a good puzzle so I'm going to have a crack without googling.

Storm: Frank Panassi
Roosters: No idea, but Politis pulls the strings
Raiders: One of the Furners. Maybe Don Furner?
Souffs: Shane Richardson

Love that you had a crack and 1 out of 4 is better than I did (should have known a Furner)

Storm - Dave Donaghy,
Roosters - Joe Kelly
Raiders - Don Jr
Souffs - Blake Solly

Well known leaders one and all

I agree - there needs to be an investigation as to why the Bulldogs let Thurston go... too small as I remember.... why did Souths let Ron Coote go.... what a disaster....

Did they let 4 guys go at a similar time that went on to win comps or represent their state?

But Sherwin was looking the goods with Bwaith ...they won a premiership in 04 and would have been concerned about keeping SBW at that stage ...clubs make calls on fringe talent ...like us with Fifita or Woods

Maybe, maybe not, who knows......

"The fact that you cant name the CEO of Storms, Roosters, Raiders, Souffs speaks to how much the CEO;s of these organisation communicate outside of the organisation, and these are successful organisations."
No it doesnt, it speaks to how much interest I have in the administrators in those teams.
Why should we get hung up on what other teams are doing anyway? I'm more interested in WT direction. I actually knew 2. Furner and Solly (only because of the noise of Richo leaving.)
