I’ve been told the deal is dead in the water. He will go back to the Storm and sign with the Rabbits in 2021.

No one to blame but management for that one. If we can’t land a big signing in 2022 we are screwed

Please explain how you come to that conclusion, with actual verifiable information.

He gave us a heads of agreement apparently, ready to come here all we needed to do was make a deal with Melbourne. We refuse, he stays at Melbourne or goes somewhere else and he never plays for us. It’s us that refused to play ball

We just did what the Storm and Roosters have been doing for years. Held our ground.

We offerer him the fullback spot. If hes not interested than so be it.

He was interested?!!!!! We couldn’t get the deal done? Roosters are ruthless they would’ve given Melbourne a rookie if they wanted JAC. Look what they did to Pearce and Flanagan

If he was interested he would have signed mate, simple.

Erm he needs a release champ. Pretty simple buddy. He can’t sign when he’s contracted ?

Mate, he could have signed with us yesterday for 2022, if he wanted.

It seems that he did not, because he doesn't want to.

2022 is a long way away. He would be stupid to sign for any club for 2022 right now. That doesn’t mean he didn’t want to sign for 2021

He didn't

You’ve had this opinion and never had any proof as to why you think this. It seems to me you are just assuming. Plenty of good sources have said the opposite

I won't give up cochise's source on this as I know who it is, but he's not spinning rubbish.

Must be best mates with JAC considering he knows his exact feelings lol

He was ready to join and we couldn’t do a deal with Melbourne simple as that, there’s no other way to put it. 2022 is a long way away and I don’t blame him for not committing to us for then, footy is a business and he is being a smart businessman. If we had done a deal with storm he would be on our books already

None of us know for a fact he was ready to join us
Maybe Josh wanted more from us
Maybe more money
Maybe a one year contract so he could move to souths in 2022 and we weren't prepared to do that
And if he is willing to wait and play another year in Melbourne before he comes back to Sydney then he could still come back to our club if he wanted to
But its time we all realised what's really happening
We are being screwed but this time we won't give in
Good on the club for standing up for once
And its about bloody time to
If josh wants to be here then he will come
But by all reports and what we see going on he simply does not want to come back here
And I for one don't want another player at our club that does not want to be here
Remember what happened to Matterson and Moses
I would rather continue down the path of offering the best youg talent a spot at our club
Forget about Addo-Carr and move on

Agree but believe AJ from PNG.

This forum has major PTSD about the Latrell dealings

Guess what, every single player talks to multiple clubs. Even Nofa talked to Paramatta about joining them. It’s business, it doesn’t mean they’re screwing us it doesn’t mean they don’t want to join it’s just footy!

If we didn’t sign guys who didn’t talk to only us and signed contracts instantly we wouldn’t field a team

Why would he sign for something two years away that’s just dumb. Anything could happen, offers could change, we could sign another fullback, our club could burn down ? would be very stupid for him to do that especially being such a good player. Very rarely do players sign a year and a half in advance.

Stuck at Melbourne as in he can’t get a release from them

I don’t really see what the big deal with JAC is . Sure he’s fast , and an amazing winger , but is he worth all the angst , some are putting themselves through ? I was super keen for LM last year , and definitely got my hopes up , only to really change my tune when I saw photos of him and his general attitude .

I am no where near those levels of keen for JaC. I really don’t think he moves the needle as much as we all might hope .
I hope we have the right players in our juniors coming through . Every year there’s someone . It could be Cini . It could be Kei . Maybe Talau and Kepoa make a leap . We definitely develop them . They just hit their peak elsewhere previously due to our crappy decison making .
I really feel edge backrower , is a huge area for growth in the team. And I’d be looking real hard at Angus . And , much to the naysayers disgust , giving DWZ a room at the last chance Inn. We’ve definitely had a few of those in the past turn out to be Great buys . I’m not saying to play fullback but yea why not . Also those Eddie Gebbie highlights are hard to look away from .
I guess I’m saying we weren’t looking for him to play wing . So everything you’ve seen , could be irrelevant. It’s really hard to see whether it’s worth all the emotion . LM , I got it , and was kinda hoping I was right , and he was fat and lazy . Turns out he’s still amazing.
JAC makes me feel ... indifference .

When JAC was asked if he had singed of Heads of agreement I would have expected him to replay "What's that?", unless of course someone had explained it to him recently for some reason. I don't know what it means but it didn't look honest to me.

It is also possible the HoA story originally posted on this forum first and that's when the media got it from.

Well he said no to the interview but when interviewed by SMH he just said ‘next question’ so somethings up there. Answered strange in the video too. I get the feeling he did it but doesn’t want to say it publicly for whatever reason

He’s one of those players who has x-factor. It’s been a very long time since we signed a player like that (Lote?). I made the mistake of getting caught up in the LM saga last year, so I’m staying out of this. I’d love to get him, but if we don’t, life will go on. We still have some serious cash to spend for 2022 regardless.

Probably sick of the questions daily and would prefer to focus on the origin series
