I'd love JAC to come back, but if he's really asking for $800k there's better value looking at other positions.

Another thing last night's game showed was just how slow AD is at fullback. Paps (and Teddy, RTS etc) hit the ball at high speed and have impressive acceleration through a gap - something AD is sadly missing. I don't mind AD as a player, but he's not a final's bound fullback.

If JAC was a seasoned, well proven fullback, then the money's not so outrageous.

That try he set up for Paps was pretty classy. Once again there’s no way any of our players could have replicated that

Also thought his draw and pass was pretty decent for a bloke who supposedly can’t pass. It was a tricky one at full speed

People said Dufty couldn't pass and look what he's doing now. He's setting up a try at least every second game via his passing game. I think it's the same situation for Addo-Carr. People only say he can't pass because (a) he's in a position which rarely passes and (b) he doesn't have the license/reason to pass.

JAC has turned into a smart footy player and TEAM player while away at Melb. He's fast of course, but his mentality, knowledge and professionalism (bar the of season antics) that has clearly been learned while playing under a winning culture and team system would do wonders for us in general.

The money paid for Mbye and Reynolds is outrageous. Paying for JAC is an investment. Besides his on field skills, there is the professionalism he brings to the team and the influence he would have on our young players. In addition, the marketing potential of JAC is enormous. Did you watch how he interacted with the 9 team after the match? It was entertaining. JAC is an entertainment package.

I think we used to get players like Lote and Gareth because we had one of the most exciting players in the comp and our attack was one of the funnest to watch, and the Australian coach. Now we have no draw cards at all. If we can get one player to build on, like how Panthers have the best halfback in the comp now, then you can attract more stars a little easier. We currently don't have any foundation to bring people. Gotta start somewhere. JAC is pretty exciting, it would be more enticing to get others if we have him than what we have currently

I agree with this. We need pace and class to attract others. Look at how Souths started to build - one good buy from Canterbury in Roy Asotasi and then it began. I also agree with another poster who mentioned the need for our players to support the ball runner more. Brooks and JAC working together and supporting each other could be something special. Hopefully the young prop we are getting from Parra might have a bit of go forwards and offloads in his game as well.

What the professionalism that saw him off breaking COVID restrictions and shooting guns getting himself charged with a criminal offence? He would offer plenty for sure but I don't think his professionalism is one of his better traits...

Every professional rugby league player can pass. Have you seen Junior Paulo set up tries with a harbour bridge pass?!!

I would have thought a premiership winning coach and NZ coach would be a drawer card
And the fact we have a large supporter base

Craig Bellamy happily wants him to stay. If any club has sent the benchmark for professionalism it is the Storm. It seems our club is if the same view: Brad Fittler spoke of how hard JAC trains and his positive impact on the players in the dressing sheds.
