reliable source mate?

Who are the most dynamic players atm .. Teddy / Papps .. speed and the willingness to work up the middle JAC ticks all these boxes and IMO will be a huge success with the changed rules . Fullbacks play a totally different game now to yrs ago .

I actually think he could be similar to Paps after a year or so.
He isn’t going to be RTS or Teddy at fullback.
But maybe a dude that can get second phase ball, see a gap and punch it.

Agree

I think the only thing he will lack as a fullback is a passing game

Have seen the fox pass the ball plenty of times, imo he’d be fine

No issue with $600k. With Joey reportedly on $600k, Reynolds on $800k, McQueen $400k it looks like good value

When you out it that way, JAC on $600k is excellent value.

Some of those figures change your perspective don't they. Worst case he is on the wing where he should kill it anyway.

Hope you are right

I was just guessing as I don't see many games so haven't really seen him pass but if he can pass I'd certainly like to see him have a chance at fullback

I think he ticks all the other boxes as he loves getting involved and is fairly safe taking bombs and would have more opportunities to score tries with his pace as a roaming fullback

Watch the try he sets up Paps with on the weekend, running full pace and draws and passes to him on the inside. Not an easy skill to do at full pace

I agree passing is an obvious query, but nothing a full pre season couldn’t fix

If JAC plays fullback he can concentrate on supporting players in the middle, there are plenty of other ball players in the backline. JAC does not just stand on the wing and wait for someone to create something for him, he often creates his own chaos from dummy half or quick play the balls. It is a risk but at worst we end up with a sensational if slightly overpriced left winger.

1 JAC
2 Nofo
3 BJ
4 Doueihi/Mbye
5 AJ
6 Mbye/Doueihi
7 Brooks
9 Liddle

We do actually need to get this guy here. For so many different reasons. $600k a year is a steal in my books.

NSW and Australian winger for $600K is definitely a steal.

If he ends up being a great fullback, then it's an even better bit of business by the club.

You'd hope a signing like him would attract other players to the Tigers as well.

The signing I'm really hoping for is Burton.

Can you imagine that speed in a roving FB role?

1 JAC

4 Doueihi/Mbye
5 AJ
6 Mbye/Doueihi
7 Brooks
9 Liddle

2021 shaping up
1 Douehi - solid at the back, would be putting him on a speed program come November
2 Nofa - NRL leading try scorer 2020
3 Talau - give him time to develop in his natural position, future rep star, Melbourne wanted him
4 BJ - get him fit and he’s world class
5 JAC - game changer, Kangaroo
6 Mbye - Queensland origin rep and our HPP, back him in the 6 with a full offseason
7 Brooks - former DM halfback of the year, give him a good forward pack and he’ll win us games

The backs are sorted. Just need a forward leader to bring our young, small forward pack along.

We have some money to spend next season but anyone with a bit of nous will realise we have to endure a bit more pain next season. Get rid of Packer and Reynolds along with a couple of others and things look promising for 2022.

That's the sad reality but JAC is an important piece of the puzzle.

I think it unlikely that Doueihi will be fullback next season given he's now shifted to the centres. I suspect he'll either remain at centre or move to 6 which is likely.

The whole game is pretty much about speed now, backs have to be fast, forwards too, or they are slow off the mark and get dominated against other teams. We are so behind the.. pace

You could be right but I was happy with him at FB in most games, needs a bit more speed, which u can train for. Madge could be trying to stiffen left centre as we were leaking there.
