What would you guys think about "loaning" Nofoaluma for 2021 to Melbourne for JAC? This way if he is still on our payroll, we can claim the concession down the track, Nofoaluma will definitely come back an even better player and we get JAC

Nofo can go there full-time for JAC. They're not in the same class.

The only people who think Nofo is in the same galaxy as JAC are WT supporters.

It's not about comparing them, it's wanting both. No point having JAC on one wing and a Jennings on the other. A combination of Nofo and JAC is what we want, and if we can pull it off like that that's what we should be aiming for.

Good on our management.

And RE Talau, you'll probably be the same people complaining about why we let him go in a few years ala Paps. He is VERY young and inexperienced, if the Storm really do want him (and its just a rumour as far as I know) that says a lot about him and his potential.

Again, if we can get JAC without caving in and giving someone in return - good management.

Let it play out.

Storm will give in they don't want a disgruntled JAC next year

What makes you think that? I think the exact opposite. Sorry JAC couldn’t find a replacement, you’ll have to stay and honour your contract.

It's what a decent club should do. Why would they budge? Exactly my feelings about us with Matterson, and Parra then made the smart decision and didn't release our prop to us early either. Why would you? They have contracts. Just because we cave in again and again, doesn't mean other clubs are dumb enough to do so.

What makes you think Melbourne is a decent club? That’s not what I would call Melbourne.

They’re not a soft club is a better word

I can think of a few others but I’d be permanently banned if I wrote them.

And although a goose imo
JAC is more of a man than Moses and Matterson combined ..
He hasn’t sooked or pulled out the mental health card as far as I’m aware?

The club believes it won that situation as they got both players they wanted anyway.

Damn you! Just talk to me when you have good news. ?

if they’re still doing it the same as they have previously, once JAC is there last November they’ll have to start paying him and it comes out of their 2021 salary cap. They will want him gone by then I’m sure or at least won’t want him hanging around too long after it.

JAC behind west’s pack?

I hope the moneys good cause no glory will be involved.

NRL 2020: Storm star Josh Addo-Carr reveals suicide heartbreak after impressive two-try performance

Currently locked in tense negotiations with the Storm as he seeks a release from his contract to return to Sydney, star winger Josh Addo-Carr has been rocked by the death of a family friend.
Storm star Josh Addo-Carr has revealed the tragic suicide of an “aunty” inspired his two-try heroics against future club Wests Tigers as the NSW Origin flyer opened up about his desire to return to Sydney.

Addo-Carr was brilliant in Melbourne’s 50-22 demolition of the Tigers at Sunshine Coast Stadium on Saturday night, bagging a double and looking to the skies as the Storm sported black armbands in support of their devastated teammate.

Addo-Carr is locked in tense negotiations with the Storm as he seeks a release from his contract to return to Sydney for compassionate reasons next season.
He is expected to sign with the Tigers, but Melbourne coach Craig Bellamy said the Storm would postpone talks until after the finals if the clubs can’t reach an agreement this week.

A shattered Addo-Carr revealed after the game that he had been rocked by the death of family friend June Fernando on Friday.

“I lost a close family friend, my aunty, yesterday through suicide,” he said.

“I used to live with her back in the day when times were tough.

“I had Aunty June written on my wrist. I wanted to show my support back home to my family who are going through a tough time.

“I’d like to think (I could have made a difference if I lived in Sydney), but that’s part of life I suppose.

“I’m really feeling for my family at the moment. I couldn’t be there to support them. It’s pretty tough.

“We all had arm bands on. We found out late last night that she committed suicide.
Josh Addo-Carr isn’t too worried about his contract status.
“It’s pretty tough at the moment. The whole reason I want to move to Sydney is for my family.

“To hear that another loved one has gone so soon is pretty upsetting. My family is going through a tough time at the moment.

“It’s tough going through this COVID stuff. It hasn’t hit me because I’m not with my family.”

While the Storm have helped develop Addo-Carr into an Origin player, he has long held ambitions to return to New South Wales.

The Storm want a quality player in return for releasing Addo-Carr to the Tigers and negotiations have hit a stalemate, with Bellamy admitting the club will put talks on hold after this week if a deal isn’t reached.

“The Tigers want him under certain situations and we want something in return,” Bellamy said.

“That hasn’t been settled yet and if it doesn’t get settled this week we will put it off until we finish our season. We don’t want that distraction during the finals.”

The contract situation hasn’t appeared to be a distraction for Addo-Carr.
He was sensational against the Tigers, bamboozling three Wests defenders in a brilliant 60m solo effort as the Storm racked up a 28-point win to secure a top two finish.

Addo-Carr said he didn’t treat the game against the Tigers any differently and he was comfortable with his future being up in the air.

“I treat every game the same,” he said.

“All of that outside noise doesn’t really get to me.

“I’m sweet with it. I’m leaving it to my manager to sort out. I’m happy to wait around.

“I’m really enjoying my football at the Storm. We’re enjoying it on the Sunny Coast.

“I’m in a really good side at the moment – I’ve just got to catch the ball and run fast.”

Tigers coach Michael Maguire said he was not sure if Addo-Carr would be wearing Wests colours in 2021, but admitted his talent could help the battling team.
“I don’t know (if we will sign him),” Maguire said.

“You give him a bit of space and he knows how to find it and he can really hurt you. He’s a top quality player.

“I think you can see that from what he does each week. It is just the consistency of high level speed and his attributes of being able to return the ball.

“At the end of the day we have got to work through a few things before we get to that so I am sure that will work itself out in time.”

Storm saying 'they don't want the distraction through the finals' and they think that if they just stop talking to other clubs about the switch, that will stop the media from speculating about it every single day? They're full of it.

The media will run stories on this every day anyway, we all know they will, don't let the Storm bluff us!

Suicide has had a large impact on my life and the pointlessness of that loss I would never wish on anyone. Just a reminder to anyone on here who ever finds themself in a bad place mentally, speak up even if the only place you have is on here. We disagree and argue a lot but this forum can also be very supportive and most people on here don't know you to judge you.
