The cumulative impact of losing Koroibete, Simona, JAC has been underestimated. Imagine a WTs' backline with those three players present. There us no substitute for genuine pace and the ability to finish. Any club would suffer from these losses.

Recruitment at its worst. Just one of them stayed would be good. Except simona imo he shouldn’t be talked about as a loss

I’ve been told the deal is dead in the water. He will go back to the Storm and sign with the Rabbits in 2021.

No one to blame but management for that one. If we can’t land a big signing in 2022 we are screwed

You can't make someone sign who doesn't want to be here.

He was ready to join and we couldn’t do a deal with Melbourne simple as that, there’s no other way to put it. 2022 is a long way away and I don’t blame him for not committing to us for then, footy is a business and he is being a smart businessman. If we had done a deal with storm he would be on our books already

None of us know for a fact he was ready to join us
Maybe Josh wanted more from us
Maybe more money
Maybe a one year contract so he could move to souths in 2022 and we weren't prepared to do that
And if he is willing to wait and play another year in Melbourne before he comes back to Sydney then he could still come back to our club if he wanted to
But its time we all realised what's really happening
We are being screwed but this time we won't give in
Good on the club for standing up for once
And its about bloody time to
If josh wants to be here then he will come
But by all reports and what we see going on he simply does not want to come back here
And I for one don't want another player at our club that does not want to be here
Remember what happened to Matterson and Moses
I would rather continue down the path of offering the best youg talent a spot at our club
Forget about Addo-Carr and move on

If josh Wants to be here he can’t sign he won’t get a release lol, why does everyone think he doesn’t want to join he’s stuck at Melbourne!

He has stated numerous times he won't be there next season. He can also sign for 2022 today. He will be released without a trade.

We need to look at this situation realistically just like all signings. If players don't want to sign we just move on. If clubs want to screw us over we just say we aren't playing that game.

I want to get JAC but it's not the end of the world or even close to it. You just don't know what is going to happen over the course of the next couple of seasons.

Relax. It'll all be alright. We appear to be re-signing Madge. We have a decent squad and look to be purchasing some quality junior talent. We just need some top end talent to come here. We may develop those players or we may purchase them.

Who knows what will happen over the next month as well. JAC may even sign here.

I really really doubt he will be released without a trade. Melbourne have been very certain about that and he’s said he will stay at Melbourne another season if a deal can’t be done apparently

Again, you’re assuming he doesn’t want to sign based on nothing. 2022 is a long way away and I don’t think he’s stupid enough to sign anywhere for then, even Souths or roosters.

I think the realism is we all want JAC and we have done everything in our power to make it happen. This is not the coaches' problem the club's problem etc, the player needs to want to be here. Nothing we can do if they don't. It sucks but we are an underachieving team and until we can prove otherwise these bigger name players are going to be hard to acquire.

Can’t understand not wanting to give them Talau especially now Josh is willing to stay at Melbourne for another season

Unless Talau becomes an Australian level player it will not be worth it. Maybe they think that highly of him at the club

Hey Josh
Don’t be sucker mate .... it’s a game game of bluff poker.
We don’t need to give them anything that we want/need to keep.

Melbourne will be quite happy to keep him another season, they get a top quality winger on the cheap it’s much better for them. They can hold out for a swap all season long if need be

Come 2022 the entire nrl will chase him and we will have no chance.

Then that's the way it plays out.

Then we miss out on yet another big signing due to our club being dumb. Not really on board with that one

Yeah we disagree on that. I don't believe in giving up a player to sign another.

Why not if it is going to strengthen the team

Because you don't get full value out of the player you are signing, we will be stronger on that wing but weaker somewhere else. So for full freight of what JAC is worth we get all his skill but we minus what Nofa brings to the team. We don't have a ready made replacement that brings what Nofa brings so we either find someone that matches him or we lose out in that position. Now overall we end up with a net gain, but is the net gain we achieve worth what we are paying JAC at full freight.

We have offered him what he is worth with a chance to earn more. He either comes or he doesn't.

We have offered him what we think he is worth to us .
Not necessarily what his worth is,and no I whould not trade nofo but I whould tommy

Tommy thanks you for trying to up route him from his family. I'm sure he appreciates it.

Its interesting, everyone on here complains about Matterson and Moses wanting out of the club. People still call the Toilets behind the goalposts at LO the Morrison Dunny, but as soon as there is a better layer on the horizon some people are keen to punt players we have signed and been loyal to the club. Seems a little hypercritical to me.

JAC clocked 10.6 seconds over 100 metres at origin camp. He must be one of the fastest ever to play in the NRL.

Paps got 11.02 in comparison

Anyone in management that agreed to signing JT as our coach should be blamed. IMO after Potter, had we recruited the right coach we possibly retain a number of key players and attract others for what may have been a successful period.

This JAC situation is not a management issue, reports are they tabled an offer that gives JAC the option to play in the 1. If he signs for the rabbits and plays on the wing then so be it. Doesn’t say much about JAC.

Even if we do sign him, I say we are still screwed until we complete the roster. Even with JAC I don’t think we are top 8 team next year. Not while so much cap space is tied up with 3 non performing players. Thanks to a coach I thought was going to finally turn the club around.

Best contract so far this offseason has been to extend Madge. That at least shows players we have stability and a premiership winning coach.

We need a better media manager as well. We need to get the rags talking us up not down.

The club was almost at poverty level when it signed Jason Taylor. There was hardly any choice available. The we thought we had a winner in Cleary, sure. He only made our situation much worse.

Please explain how you come to that conclusion, with actual verifiable information.

He gave us a heads of agreement apparently, ready to come here all we needed to do was make a deal with Melbourne. We refuse, he stays at Melbourne or goes somewhere else and he never plays for us. It’s us that refused to play ball

We just did what the Storm and Roosters have been doing for years. Held our ground.

We offerer him the fullback spot. If hes not interested than so be it.

He was interested?!!!!! We couldn’t get the deal done? Roosters are ruthless they would’ve given Melbourne a rookie if they wanted JAC. Look what they did to Pearce and Flanagan

If he was interested he would have signed mate, simple.

Erm he needs a release champ. Pretty simple buddy. He can’t sign when he’s contracted ?

If Melbourne wanted Lucy or Doueihi, you'd let them go for a winger?

They want an outside back. I wouldn’t be against giving them Doueihi, it would be a massive upgrade.

You are blinded by the need for a Marquee player - unfortunately JAC is not Marquee.

He is just a fast winger - that how it's playing out, doesn't want to come here.

You've gone off your head if you would trade AD.

I’ve been told the deal is dead in the water. He will go back to the Storm and sign with the Rabbits in 2021.

No one to blame but management for that one. If we can’t land a big signing in 2022 we are screwed

And you are blinded by your love your Tigers players, you’re the person who wouldn’t swap Liddle for Grant ?

Doueihi is a solid player I like him, JAC is 5 times the player he is right now. It’s simple really who makes our squad better and it’s an easy answer. If you think he’s just a fast winger then you clearly haven’t watched much of him the last two years.

The thing with Taylor, I went to the member information session he gave and he spoke well. He identified our weaknesses and spoke about fixing them. He was spot on with what we needed to fix, he just didn't have the ability or the players didn't have the faith in him to allow him address those areas. That is probably why he makes a very good assistant coach and an extremely poor head coach.

Plenty of guys like that Barrett is probably one unless he works miracles at bulldogs. Being the main guy to look after a squad of 30 players most of them young for a whole year or more is not easy especially if you aren’t winning

JAC clocked 10.6 seconds over 100 metres at origin camp. He must be one of the fastest ever to play in the NRL.

Paps got 11.02 in comparison

Very quick indeed. Impressive. A bit surprised that Paps was slower.

Exactly mate, I had the opportunity to talk about footy with Barrett as well. He is incredibly knowledgeable and really knows his stuff, but agree he very well could be another that is a great assistant but doesn't have the right temperament and skills to be the head guy. The head coach nowadays is a very complicated job and involves getting a big group of people believing in and implementing your ideas. Some people just aren't suited to that hierarchical structure that an NRL club has become.

Probably just because he’s shorter to be honest. JAC has big long legs that really get him moving
