The more I see JAC, the more I want him at fullback. His skill level still hasn't been witnessed. The chip and chase was out of the blue. Also, no matter the situation, he finishes the try, or sets it up. He doesn't have a great passing game but he can deliver the last pass that we have craved.

I want to see JAC at fullback a lot but i'm even more excited for Doueihi in the halves. He was amazing against eels.

Yeah he has a great game against the eels. I still need to see a little more to be convinced he is a 5/8th, but it is a good start.

He’s confident that if JAC gets a release he’ll be here whcih is good. Problem is I don’t think he will just magically get a release.

Hopefully Melbourne drop their hard stance and let josh be with his family in Sydney, but his manager saying he will stay in Melbourne another year if need he doesn’t help our case at all

I agree Josh, the more SoO tries he scores I feel the more unlikely it becomes Storm let him go.
I would just like him to play FB so that he could at least have the opportunity to reach his full potential. Gosh he did a good job last night, don’t know if that was his first run on the right but looked like he’d been there all year.

Just so everyone knows Souths currently have 29 out of 30 roster spots full, with Tautau Moga expected to fill the 30th

If they do get JAC it won’t be until 2022 unless some more players ‘walk away’ from their deals there

No, you back up Strongee. I don’t appreciate being verballed. Nowhere did I say that Irvine was a “superior athlete”. I challenge you to go back over my posts and show me where I said that.

I responded to a post about JAC and Paps speed over 100 meters. I said:

“I hate to sound like the old codger nursing his beer in the corner growling: “you call that fast, why back in my day…”. But I will. The great Ken Irvine, who I had the pleasure of watching a number of times, was timed in a professional sprint over 100 yards at 9.3 seconds.”

I then went on to conclude:

“It’s curious that while players have grown bigger and stronger, they don’t appear to have got any faster. Perhaps the process of bulking up has reduced their speed.”

My point I’m making , before everyone gets upset that I’m bagging thier favourite player , is that it’s all relative . Elite is only relative to the era that person played in.

I’m not upset because you’r bagging my favourite player and I do agree elite is relative to the time in which the player played. It was a different game in those days. I rate Irvine the best winger I’ve seen because he dominated footy in the 60s like no other winger has done since. He wasn’t just express, he was the complete footballer.

But the statement was that Irvine was a superior athlete to today .

Not by me it wasn't. Don’t put words in my mouth. I resent being set up as a straw man. You are attacking arguments that I never made.

You do realise that 100 yards is only 91.44 metres. If we take an average, which you really can’t but for the sake of comparison let’s, that would make Irvine’s adjusted time over 100 metres 10.17.

Maybe JAC is willing to go back to the Storm next year in order to get a gig at Souths or the Chooks in 2022. Could be the thing he signed with us tied him to us if he got a release for 2021 but is not binding beyond 2021. Just a possibility with him now saying he is ok with having another year down South.

Although in saying the above I think the Storm will release him, where he ends up is anyone’s guess

Will the Storm want to strengthen Souths? In any case I believe Souths need to strengthen their forwards and if Angus Crichton is released, he would be a good buy.

That’s with Roberts gone, Allan is counted as he hasn’t left there yet. Even if Allan does leave Moga coming in only gives them one spot left still.

We’ll have to wait and see. His manager could be pushing that line to try force a deal out of us or bulldogs. Like I said if he had the choice he would leave Melbourne.

Its tough for Souths... They had 6 play SOO last night and Allan in the SOO squad so 7 total.
Not to mention the other top line players in there squad for 2021. We can only dream of been in this situation and they are also after JAC.... Joke
