Just a question - If JAC wants to come here and I understand that Storm have to release him for 2021 season why does he not at least sign here now for 2022 for 4 years and have a clause in the contract to say if released from storm the contract would be brought forward a year to 2021?
This would also benefit him as it shows to others that he is coming and they may want to join us. IDK why the holdup and understand the frustration it is bringing people.

Bulldogs friend saying that JAC has told bulldogs he wants to go to them. But can’t due to the signed heads of agreement. That’s why Barrett said it was complicated when interviewed. JAC threatening to go back to Melbourne if tigers won’t tear up the agreement. Not sure how reliable but it makes alot of sense.

If that's true we should tell him to enjoy Melbourne for another year. No way should we allow ourselves to be intimidated like this.

Agree we can’t do a matterson here and roll over. You either play with us or enjoy Melbourne for another 12 months if the above is true. Might also be why he said no when asked if he had signed a heads of an agreement

This is even better than Matterson as we do not have to pay him a cent or carry a disgruntled player. If it is true and wants to treat us like mugs we have no reason to cave in.

Probably because he doesn't want to come here

poor guy gets slammed for posting something that makes much more sense than JAC coming here considering the way this has played out so far.

There's no way JAC is coming. Why would he say he's thinking of staying in Melbourne another year if he has a 4 year offer from us on the table and he is desperately homesick. Would've happened by now. This thread should be closed so people dont waste more time posting on here only to end up bitter in the next month when it doesnt eventuate. Bulldogs are a more desirable club than us because of their history being a club of power - until the COE is done and we make the 8 - we dont really offer anything , even though Doggies finished below us lately there is more optimism there with a roster overhaul , a powerful benefatcor in the Laundy's and the clubs history.

Dude, how the hell do you have -27 rep points?

Only _-2

He has -29

Minus 4 I can see

Talking about total..not just the post

How would anyone even know that??? Do you go around counting the rep points on everyone’s posts? ?

If you click on someone's profile it's there to see..simple

For example you Spud are 3.1K in the + range

Far out, really? I usually talk a load of crap! ?

You just want everyone to check out your 11K rep @Geo

He forged that

Should be a minus in front of it

He does have almost 40k posts though.

Yes but this version of the rep system has only been in for a year..

I was only stirring mate.

What will meeting with his manager achieve? We should be meeting with Melbourne and sorting it with them.

There is a reason to meet with his manager.

Wests Tigers will meet with Josh Addo-Carr’s agent on Thursday to try sort out one way or another if the flying NSW winger will be at the Tigers in 2021.

Addo-Carr has told his manager Mario Tartak that he just wants to get through Wednesday night’s State of Origin II in Sydney before making a final decision on where he will be playing next season.

Tartak also has a meeting with new St George Illawarra coach Anthony Griffin set down for Tuesday to try and negotiate a release for young winger Jason Saab to hopefully join Manly before preseason training starts back next week.

Meanwhile, it is understood Addo-Carr has told Tartak that he wants to know where he will be playing next year before next Wednesday’s Origin decider.

It gives the Tigers one last crack at landing the player now rated the world’s best winger, but it must be said their chances don’t look too crash hot going into the meeting.

Addo-Carr has already committed to a heads of agreement with the Tigers that if he comes to Sydney next year it will be to play under Michael Maguire.

But there is an increasing likelihood Addo-Carr will stay at Melbourne to see out the final year of his existing contract.

That would then allow him to open negotiations with rival clubs for 2022 and beyond immediately after Origin is finished.

Understandably, other clubs are already circling given the recent speculation that Addo-Carr may be having cold feet about joining the Tigers.

The Tigers’ reluctance to cut a deal with the Storm so far and hand over either Tommy Talau or David Nofoaluma certainly hasn’t helped their case.

Melbourne is also now in deep negotiations with Canterbury’s Reimis Smith for next season but that doesn’t necessarily mean Addo-Carr can’t stay.

The Bulldogs are one of several clubs who would be interested in signing Addo-Carr for 2022 and beyond.

Sigh. Shooting ourselves in the foot but I won’t get into it again ? thanks for the repost.

End of the day even if he wanted to come here more than anything in the world, Melbourne need to release him.

You may have noted that I mentioned a ‘heads of agreement’ was signed awhile ago BUT no official contract.
Well, the same mail has just told me that JAC is a done deal !!!!

Could be them figuring out a way to get him a release, could be figuring out if he actually is happy to stay at Melbourne or if he wants to go to another club. Hopefully they get to the bottom of it all.
