It’s a slap in the face he chose the Dogs over us but he most likely didn’t want to put in the hard yards as a wannabe fullback or training under Madge .

Yep big slap in the face. He’s gone to a club in a worse position than ours, with a worse coach, worse forward pack, in a worse part of Sydney, with zero Aboriginal pathways. I honestly thought he was holding out for Souths to get the money together and I wouldn’t have cared if he signed with them, at least they are a decent team, but losing out to the Bulldogs is just bloody embarrassing really. Somehow they have managed to sign 2 SOO wingers despite being a basket case of a club for the last 3 years. Unbelievable!

Maybe other clubs arent happy investing between 1/3 to 1/5 of their cap in wingers?

I think this is how the whole JAC played out.....leaving him with only 1 real option.

JAC signs the HOA with the WT.
WT and Storm couldn't agree on player swap
JAC decides to test the market, thinking he could play teams off each other and enter a bidding war.
WT having learned from the LM episode drop their interest
JAC really wants to join Souffs but they can't fit him
Leaves the Dogs as his only option, so they could afford to lowball him

Does anyone really care ? From all accounts Laurie is a freak , and Roberts could be anything. I get it , he’s an elite winger , but that guy is going to the dogs to play 1 . Geez that’s a lot of money to commit to him if he’s just wearing the 5 .
I’d say the bonus don’t have the same heavy clauses around them that ours did . And the reason for the market drop , is because we pulled out , so it was a race of 1 .

I care a bit, would have liked him at the club.

I care like as if when I go the pub and ask what beer they have on tap , and it’s like all the old favourites , and thier ale is fat yak. Would it have been nice to have something like lashes or Kosciusko? Am I disappointed? Sure but whatever , I’m still about to down a tasty schooner of something tasty .

A schooner of addo carr is like an ice cold Lowenbrau in Munich, Mansour is a Tooheys Red at the cauliflower hotel in Redfern. Not all beer is the same.

To be fair I’ve enjoyed a beer at the cauliflower more than I’ll enjoy mansour in a Wests tigers jersey
