JACK SPENCER BEGINS HIS WESTS TIGERS CAREER
By Wayne Cousins
21/11/2011 5:22:44 PM

Former Salford Reds prop Jack Spencer today began his first day as a professional rugby league player in the NRL.

Rated an exciting young prospect who can also play second-row, the 20-year-old underwent a drills and wrestling session as part of the Wests Tigers NRL 33-man squad.
A former England Academy player, Spencer played 7 first grade games for Salford in the English Super League – 4 of them in 2011\. He turns 21 next month.

“Jack was recommended to the Club by former Wests Tigers prop Ray Cashmere after being a part of the Salford full time squad for the past few seasons,’’ said Wests Tigers Recruitment Manager Warren McDonnell.

“He has signed a one-year deal for 2012 with an option.”

I'm guessing that is him with the Tattoo on his arm
Gee for a prop he isn't big up top

That's him Happy, defintely on the small side too. Looks a better backrow option unless he's deceptively strong for his size.

Agreed Happy, he has no shoulders! Looks more like a jockey, imo

Might be in the Dallas Johnson mould. He's listed as 100kg+… must've weighed him after a good feed.

Yeah I thought that too, Underdog, so I checked out Google images for some better pics of him. He still looks pretty small to me. 'Prop' isn't the first word that comes to mind when I look at him. More like 'Lock' a la Dallas Johnson, like Danos said in his post. Oh well, if he can play half as good as Johnson I'll be happy.

I'd upload the pics on here if I had any idea how to 😕 Sorry, you'll have to check them out yourself.

Yeah his lower half seems fairly well developed Willow We shouldn't judge him just yet
A year under Sheens and some hard work in off season and you never know

I don't mean to be un-pc, but he looks like he has got the proportions of a little person.

Much like our other NRL giant midget: Nate Myles.

:roll

Scott, Gallen, Tolman are all smallish props (well Gallen has played there) that have a high workrate and make big metres - if he has the work ethic and good defensive technique he could develop into a reasonable player

BeeJay that is really harsh on Fulton
The members of the Liam Fulton Appreciation Society (or LFAS for short) aren't happy
