Jackson Hastings #251

This was an earlier article with Sheens' commenting that Hastings is contracted in 23. It read as though he was positioning the club when the Knights try and sign Hastings for 24 and then come barking for 23.

IF we let Hastings go and keep Brooks Sheen has lost his mind.
You would have to think if this happens then Brooks has agreed to extend and we have picked a halfback to partner him or we will end up with no one..
It just doesn't add up as you don't want 3 6's and no 7..

Wetsts Tigers star Jackson Hastings and his manager Liam Ayoub have been spotted in Newcastle.
They were not there for a holiday or to check out local real estate, either.

In fact one very good source has told your columnist the pair caught up last week with a man who was the spitting image of Knights general manager of football Peter Parr.

It’s common knowledge the Knights are in the market for a halfback.

Jake Clifford has gone to the UK Super League and Adam Clune struggles compared with the good halves. It’s why they’ve been desperately keen to get Luke Brooks out of the Wests Tigers.

Wests Tigers coach Tim Sheens insists Brooks will not be released.

Hastings, however, is a different story.

Sheens is not a fan. He even asked caretaker coach Brett Kimmorley to move Hastings to lock forward last season.

It was a ridiculous positional switch.

Hastings is a halfback and a much better player than Sheens gives him credit for.

He was probably the Wests Tigers’ best player over the entire season.

Yet Sheens has made it blatantly clear he has no future at the club by throwing around multimillion-dollar offers for the likes of Cameron Munster and Mitchell Moses.

Knights assistant coach Andrew Johns is a big fan.

“I think he goes really well,” Johns said, “he went to England

I’m hopeful Klemmer & Bateman sign on to strengthen our pack & enable Hastings to play that “General” role from lock with Brooks & Douehi running wider. It gives us a point of difference. I like what Hastings has offered on & off the field. Hopefully the experts do too.

It's a power shift of player manager at the club.

AD, Hastings, a lot of other players were ayoub men. Think it was known knowledge that the prior power brokers at WT were heavy on ayoub players. Problem was we got the scraps.

Potential signings, Brooks, klemmer, Bateman, Woods. Moses all with Isaac.

Isaac has the better players.

if Hastings goes it probably means we have Moses to partner brooks

But I thought the few wins we did have this year was a result of his hard carry - when he was injured end of the year we lost every game

He straightens the attack and seems like he’s organising the side around the park. I mean how could we let him go? He kicked that amazing field goal against the eels…I’d be sad if he left tbh

I heard Hastings and brooks have found a house in new castle and were celebrating in the toilets apparently the swap is klemmer and Frizzell for brooks and Hastings this is 100% serious I’m gonna apply for a job at fox sports
You had me until you mentioned the job at fox sports. Everyone knows they don’t employ tigers supporters
