I like him personally, thought he was the obvious choice for Player of the Year in a shit season.

Seems like it, I think Pom said $300k more than ours. A lotta dough in anyones language, especially to play in the position you want.
As an ex Illawarra boy he will settle right in to Newy.

This is management failure with Hastings.

I doubt the reason they've let him go is due to his personality. I think he along with Doueihi are after pay upgrades and the club saw him as a lock with probably no pay upgrade.

Depending on what he does on the field. If they start winning or at least looking like a team and getting max value from Ponga, the fans won’t care a hoot how much he’s being paid.

Well I’m a big JH fan and also originally a Newy boy, so hope they both have reasonable seasons( but definitely not at our expense !).
