Jacob Miller

I just think this guy has class written all over him. I think he might turn out our best long term option. I just hope he does not get squeezed out before he gets a good shot. I'm not saying by any means he is the answer to all his woes, however I think he has the potential to be a better all round halfback then Lui and certainly Tim Moltzen.

Brett KImmorley described him as the best halfback he has seen come out of the Toyota Cup. Now I have only seen him play 6 or 7 times however he looks like he could be a superstar. Every match I have seen in the 20's he is dominant and I thought in that short stint in First Grade he looked likely. HIs long kicking game was fantastic today. He also showed a wonderful bit of vision with the cross field chip which led to a try. Throw in a more then handy goal kicker. A bit like a young Mitchell Pearce to me he seems to have great courage and willing to make tough tackles. A willingness to take the line on, he doesn't play in a dinner suit.

Alot of the Tigers football is off the cuff stuff, and inside the opposition 20 this season we have looked a mess. Now obviously Miller would take time to settle however watching the way he can control play I think our best option might be sitting under our noses.

I agree so much. Miller is the perfect foil to Marshall. He has good structure, a great kicking game, great passing, vision. He has so much more as a halfback than Lui or Moltzen. He would allow Marshall to actually play 5/8\. Lui and Moltzen are more than handy 6's but Miller is the best halfback in the club and should be there.

Certainly has a good combination with young Sirro. Not sure whether we will see much more of him this year in FG, but another off-season with the top squad and I'd look to bring him on more next season and keep Lui and Moltzen honest.

For mine Jacob Miller is the long term halfback of our club if he continues to develop as he has been. I really hope the club keeps him. He has a very complete game and for mine is a natural halfback unlike both Lui and Moltzen who are really #6's.

Young Sironen has me puzzled. I was initially thinking he would end up in the back row or lock but now I am not too sure. For mine he is very gifted with the ball and is great at running wide, he won't get a go at #6 in the top grade as long as Benji plays their. I still think Sironen may end up a very good centre. One think I am sure off barring injury he will make it to the NRL.

I agree that Jacob Miller is our best long term option at number 7\. Lui is a class attacking player who would make first grade at many NRL clubs, but no doubts that Miller is more whole hearted and that`s what I think we need.
I also agree that Sironen has first grade written all over him and I would also agree that it may be as a centre where he can first establish himself in the top grade.
We certainly have plenty of young talent coming through which is great to see, big problem is that you can only bring so many of them through at the one time.

Agreed, I just hope we don't let him walk. It's getting frustrating watching good players leave before their time is up. He's got to be our most promising prospect in some time

Can't wait to see him starting halfback, HOPEFULLY in a Tiger's jersey.
He is LEGIT.

What is his contract status for 2012??? The wolves will be circling best prospect in the U20s comp. As for young Siro, he would make a great centre and will be hard to keep out of fgrade by mid next year

Best young half I have seen come through the Tigers. What I like about him is that he doesnt try and overplay his hand. He has a very mature game.

Has Mr Meatload said "you took the words right out of my mouth". It is so glaringly obvious.

He plays with great confidence, good vision, and at pace. All three are lacking in our other #7 options.

And that's before we talk about his goal kicking!

His commitment in defense is also impressive - he is small in size but throws himself at bigger players and his technique looks quite good. Still remember when he hammered Sandow when he played against Souths - only a small player yeah, but showed alot of confidence for a rookie. He is a talent.

The thing I like the most about him is that he's got venom. He's definitely not afraid to back himself on or off the ball. Quite solid defensively from what I've seen in the 20's and FG, which is not a prerequisite for a good halfback these days.

I refrain from saying this as so many kids with promise don't go on with it when they hit the top grade but I truly believe he will be big in the game.

tried and failed! not as good as moltzen

Lol, the last of the true believers?

Seriously Miller and Sironen are sensational, first grade is their destiny and I reckon it wont be long until we see Miller in the halves and Sironen on the bench.
