Just wanted to know if or when we should re-sign Jamal Idris.
He hasn't shown anything yet but over the next few rounds if he starts stringing some good performances he may gather interest from a few clubs. And with all the uncertainty of our club at the moment, I am thinking that Idris may just walk out on us. That would mean we have to find another replacement back.

I don't think we need to worry about that yet. As you said he's shown nothing.. And he may continue to show nothing. It's a wait and see regarding him I think. If he comes good then I'm sure the club will offer him a reasonable deal, and if not, our improved cap position will give us plenty of opportunity to seek out a good if not better replacement.

The way he talked himself up pre-season I was expecting him to be a wrecking ball not a ping pong ball

Yeh I had high hopes, but I am not giving up on him just yet, he has had a long time out of the game so there may be still hope.

He has to show a whole hell of a lot to attract interest from other clubs. We hold the cards in relation to Idris. He's the least of our problems.

I don't think we should put a deadline on it ..we should explore all options to make the right decisions or put something in place in two weeks…

Now now don't get snippy at Mr Pascoe…

If he was wearing purple white and yellow he'd be in the backrow and killing it, probably in contention for a blues recall.

Too bad our jersey is Orange, White and Black hay.

From his 2 games I didn't see anything wrong with him bar those early errors, as soon as he is match fit I would have him in the centres everyday of the week, not like his is a worse defender than Naiqama. He needed an 80 minute game or 2 in ISP and I think he will slot straight back in.

Idris is super powerful and for a back has great go forward

Round 1
9 Runs - 82 metres

Round 2 - On a day when our forwards got owned by Penrith
10 Runs - 78 metres

My backline

1\. James Tedesco
2\. David Nofoluma
3\. Jamal Idris
4\. Michael Chee Kam
5\. Moses Suli

No way chee kam is a bench player not a centre I'd have Suli Indris in the centres hunt and keV maybe on the wing could even have Watson in for chee kam but we need an atacking structure and the Moses needs to just dig in get up quick play the ball I think every week I see woods complain instead of playing the ball and kill our momentum our players are always wanting penaltys instead of momentum trys which leads us to look immature and lazy

At least he won't run out on us. He's not fit enough.
After today the last thing that we need is another player on the field that's about a season away from being fit
