James Gavet to Broncos

Teo, Fifita, Gavet… Why do we never seem to be able to keep these types of players. Young aggressive forwards with massive potential. Then other clubs reap the benefit

im pulling my hair out over here - why do we let go of the most aggressive & biggest players. And yes the other club makes men out of them.

Hard to complain about Gavet given the reason the Dogs let him go was discipline. We tried. He reverted to bad habits.

It's a pity the club couldn't get the best out of him on a consistent basis.

All I know is the team played our best footy & had their best wins ()Rd 2..Titans, rd3…Souths & Rd 5 ..Manly) when Gavet , Sue . Ava & Marty were on the impact bench ( the best we have had for 15 years, be it for a very short period)

Then Ava got injury . Then Sue etc ....I believe if those 4 stayed together fit exploding opposition teams apart , maybe James would have stayed on the straight & narrow & the Wests Tigers would have been playing semis footy this year for sure.

We all know Bennett will take him under his wing & make him into the consistent monster that us WT fans wished he could have been for us

James has a serious shoulder injury
Doubt you'll see much of him in 2015

… or any year for that matter.

THE Broncos are hunting for one more top-line forward after releasing three front-rowers in two weeks and then having prop recruit James Gavet diagnosed with a potentially serious shoulder injury.

Ben Hannant, Martin Kennedy and Dave Hala have all been released while Gavet had scans on Wednesday on a pre-existing shoulder injury to see if a reconstruction is needed. The Broncos are awaiting the final result of Gavet's shoulder scans, but if it is worst-case scenario and a reconstruction is required he will be sidelined for up to five months and likely to miss the season’s opening rounds.

The Broncos knew Gavet had shoulder issues when they signed him on a bargain-basement two-year deal from the Wests Tigers last month but a reconstruction would be a bitter blow to Wayne Bennett’s rebuilding plans.

Don't think it helped that we were twice during the season missing our starting 1-7 from Round 1

Gee I know a lot of people thought he was a massive loss. But I can't help but feel we have dodged a massive bullet by releasing him.

Firstly he is injury prone, he has had major injuries at every club he has played at. Secondly he was a liability on and off the field. He missed tackles and made stupid errors every game. Yeah he would do a great run here and there but gee he backed it up with mistake after mistake. And off the field well look at him this year, a player that turns up late on game day once, but then does it again, well enough said.

Last but not least, it's being reported he has a major shoulder injury, sounds like he might not get on the paddock much in 2015!

now Gavet will have a friend up there in Brisbane, with Blair joining him at the Bronco's.
makes a change from crappy teams like Canberra and Cronulla poaching our players.

Do people still think Bennett has a thing against Polynesians?

Its very easy to be a racist in the eyes of some when youre an anglo saxon. You just have to walk down a street with an Australian flag printed on your t shirt and you will see someone from another culture(due to their own insecurities) or a left wing tree hugging nutter calling you a racist.Sad but true.

Jerry I think you need to calm down about your own racial insecurities. It's very clear that you've offended someone without meaning to, they've told you and now you're spending the rest of your life being overly defensive. Please, calm down about it
