I admire him for seeking help when necessary. I hope he gets the treatment needed and fully recovers.

I had this conversation last night when a guy was bagging Robert's, to me he always seems to put his hand up when he is struggling. I have to admire him for that, it always seems to be his decision to enter rehab. The guy I was talking to was suggesting that he should face suspension over his issues, I thought this was a disgusting take on this situation but came as little surprise as he is s Panthers supporter.

I don't understand that. Why suspend him, what has he done wrong?

Sometimes players get into trouble with something, and then play the mental health card, and check themselves into somewhere to try and get out of trouble. Is that what this Penrith supporter thought was going on? I haven't heard anything like that, and to Roberts' credit, like you said, putting you hand up when you need help is a hard thing to do and a really good thing to do.

Because his issues in the past have involved alcohol and drugs, basically trying to say that he is admitting to drug use so should be suspended. My reply was there is no indication to show drugs were an issue here and even if they were he is seeking help and should be commended for that. Some Panthers supporters seem to have a bee in the their bonnet at the moment over their players being punished for a number of issues that last couple of years,

No surprises there then. I suppose he still thinks little Nathe Nathe was hard done too. Interesting different peoples take on things.

I believe that is the crux of his issue, sooking because Cleary got suspended.

Damn, such talent, i hope the kid gets the right people around him. At this point he clearly needs some help to conquer his demons, i hope he gets the professional help he needs now before its too late.

Yep, to his credit he isn't looking to blame anyone.
