James Tedesco Signs with Roosters [Official]

Can close the thread teddy to roosters is done. Got confirmation about and hour ago from 2 different sources. Shame. Shades of Fittler to roosters about this one. Now time for tigers to make the right replacement.

Finally it's over! Becoming rather annoying the longer it's dragged out.

Very dissapointing to lose him. Moses and Woods doesn't faze me but Tedesco is a massive loss and without him our spine is much weaker in 2018\. Will be hard watching these players knowing they want out so bad.

Sometimes you can have a grand final winning "team" but you always need that X factor that pulls people through the gates. We all get attached to the team but there is a bigger majority out there who get attached to the players. With recent Robbie Farah, benji marshall and the big 4 dramas, I don't think anyone will get too attached to any of the players; which to me is sad. Others may look at it as a positive, but I don't.

I like getting attached to players; we all want the team to do well, but you love it even more when those special players score an individual try, make it to rep teams, click a selfie with you etc.

Unfortunately, for many that player was Tedesco, idk if we'll see anyone like him for a long time.

Well at least it's over. Enough of the speculation and the 'I'll wait to see who the coach is', 'I want to stay with the Tigers', 'I haven't signed anywhere' blah blah blah.

And thanks for the updates SG.

Crazy series of events. I thought he wouldn't of left once Cleary was signed. Tigers threw the kitchen sink at him dollar wise as well. Out of the 3 that left this is the only one that is really a loss. Hard to replace his quality but atleast now tigers should be able to build a consistent top 8 side that isn't top heavy on big contracts.

The burning questions: **WHY** did Tedesco and Woods chose to leave the WT???…when the club made it very clear from last year they want to retain these 2 at all costs and they backed this up by offering them more money than either the Dogs or Roosters...**WHY? WHY?**…there must be something behind them wanting out!...I can stomach Woods and Moses going but Tedesco who openly said he loves this club has decided to pack his bag and leave...**WHY WHY?**

Look I'd love to keep him - he's exciting and a scoring threat. But he's also very very expensive. His priorities aren't ours clearly. Or should I say Cleary.

Meaning?…they had a chance to make their own club history by staying...

A good example of why you should never get attached to players. I know it's hard not to, but the majority of times you do you are setting yourself up for disappointment.

It's a bit hard for the fans not to mate, especially when the club markets itself on these players.

We're a bit different here because we are so hard core but I think that many of us have become as big a fan of Teddy as the average Tigers fan.

It's a sad day.

I don't believe for a second that Tedesco is getting less at the Roosters. Maybe less through the cap but not less overall.

Happy was eluding that it was the current state of management as much as the past management and episodes that Teddy is unhappy with?

I get that, but it still seems like selfish behaviour to me from these players.

Of course not! The ex-players themselves on Fox Sports including Anasta were laughing and making fun about those claims earlier in the week.

Hopefully we can get Lolohea and he can step up. After that still need a couple more props, centre, back rower, winger and some depth signings.

As an adult, it's true but try telling that to a 12 year old kid. When I was in high school, every kid wanted to do the benji step (that's how i became a WT fan).

I am completely aboard the "star of the team is the team" ideology but even if Teddy was the star of this team, he'd never act like one or think of himself as one. He's as genuine as they come.

Tigers didn't offer woods more than dogs.

No idea only they truly know.

Hopefully neither achieve a premiership at their respective clubs, while Tigers go on to win one while they are still playing.

Been trying to figure this out as well.
You can't just say that the club is a basket case as some 'journos' would make you believe. After all Nofoaluma was chased by other clubs but seemingly had no issues re-signing
