Gonna be a covid disaster waiting to happen I fear... However I hope it's a success
Not into most of the sports at all but love watching Aus in the swimming and of course the 100m

We beat Argentina 2 zip in the opening soccer match, and whilst I will not normally watch the game, I make exceptions for our national side.

Keep an eye on Stewart McSweyn in the 1500m (athletics).

He's on fire at the moment and one of the form middle distance runners in the world.

Always happened

This is the first Olympics that I haven't looked forward to.
I think they should've just said see ya in '24.
Maybe I'll get into it as they progress.

Keen on seeing how the boomers go (basketball)

Always love watching the athletics but that’s not until week 2. Stewie is actually a decent medal chance for us in the 1500 meters

Other than that not much interest at all

I am so keen for the Olympics, I believe they probably should have been cancelled but now they are on it is all that will be on my television for the next 2 weeks. Really looking forward to the road race this after.

Really, it's almost a non event this time around.

Hopefully better times and better days in 2024.

Got to feel for the athletes.

It’s weird, the last couple years have been hampered by covid and lack of competitions but some of the track athletes have been pushing close to world record times this year and could break some at the Olympics

Yeah.
Makes you wonder if COVID has meant less drug testing.

Whatever happened to Ollie Hoare? (Aussie)

He ran a 3:32 indoor 1500 meters and even looked better than Stewie earlier in the year

I've progressively lost interest in the Olympics since Sydney. Probably tune into a couple of events that pique my interest, but otherwise not overly excited about it.

Found the opening ceremony a bit flat but was very impressed with the drone display - 1800 drones displaying a moving world globe and such - very impressive.

Good to see the Matildas and Ollyroos start with wins as well.

The Drones were amazing.
