Two Aussie ladies just made the final of the 1500m. Jess Hull ran an oceanic record going sub 4 mins.

Great run and 4th fastest qualifier for the final, so not without hope!

Not bad lol

Wasn't there an Aussie that hit every hurdle today?

Loved Peter Bol's run last night ...took the race head on ..went hard and found out what he was capable of against the world's best

A faster race would have suited him better imo…but it was a brave effort trying to lead from the bell lap after a slow pace. Not many front runners end up winning the 800 meters unless your name is David Rudisha

That's what hurt him in the end - his rivals were smart - took it slow for the first lap and just waited for him to take off and set his own pace. His semi final time wins that race but tactically he was brought undone - brave effort and he'll learn plenty from that.

I agree. Brave but ultimately he was conned through inexperience, he should have tried harder to force someone else to lead - even the gold medalist said afterwards - and I quote "Korir said. “I just thought I would try and follow and see what would happen. There was nobody who wanted to take the pace, so I just said I was going to control it and make someone else take the lead. The Australian guy did and he did something good for me.”

Besides that, it was great run and he will learn a lot and hopefully in 3 years time he will win the gold!
