Good debut. His teammates let him down but he was a shining light tonight. Service was good, made his tackles and picked a few nice little moments to inject himself around the ruck. Got through some decent minutes for a young guy and held his own against a big Warriors pack. Well done young fella.

Very good young player with a great attitude.
We should be getting his contract extended ASAP if we had any brains.

Very impressive debut. He looked like he had played NRL for ages, he didn’t seem nervous or intimidated by the warriors pack. Nice quick ball away, I think this kid is the real deal, great first up effort.

Played well with a good crisp pass from DH. Brings the receiver onto the ball. Ran when he saw an opportunity. Looks to be our best option after Api.

I think that is our way to get back to finals. With a group of young players turn the club around. It doesnt seem to work when we buy experienced players.

Very impressive. Lanyon has been sound but the gulf between Lanyon and Heyward is huge.

Heyward is class. Most importantly his instincts were there plain to see, identifying markers and when to run and who to hit and service is out of this world. Can't remember ever seeing a young hooker look so composed and in a well beaten team too.

One horror miss in defence the only negative.

Agreed with the huge gulf between Heywood and Lanyon (and Hope).

I don’t think Lanyon is doing anything in his time on the field that Hope can’t do. The only difference is that Lanyon is gaining experience.
