OFFICIAL Jarome Luai - #295

The main issue is the long flight home. That will be the main factor whether players back up or not. A lot won’t.
I had no idea that the match was in Perth until I searched upon seeing your post. To think that for decades it was something that I looked forward to, yet it has waned to the point that I hardly ever watch unless a tigers player is involved.

I didn’t even know myself till last week

Be surprised if he played Friday would be a massive effort if he did, if he lead us to a win against the Raiders would get hero status - I doubt he gets a flight out until Thursday & wouldn’t land until lunchtime/afternoon Thursday at best.

The Warriors game might be different with us playing Sunday.

Playing Sunday and not a 5 hour flight afterwards.

Only about 4 hours odd of flight time coming back from Perth with the almost constant strong Westerlies at altitude making it an hour or so shorter than the journey there, so not too bad and only an hour more than Auckland.

It shouldn't be very taxing at all if sleeping in Qantas business, which have been basically full flat for a decade or so now on that route.

He'll probably fly out after the game, be back at his home early Thursday morning.

The NSW team flying in a private jet to Perth so I would suspect the same coming home.
Probably served caviar a well.

I'd be putting some sneaky money on the Dolphins making the 8. On a good run of form with a pretty decent, underrated team.
Your probably onto something here, but the comp is so close this year.. and who knows which team turns a corner this week (wouldn't it be great if it was tigers)

Dolphins run home:

Knights
Rabbits
Sharks
Cowboys
Roosters
Broncos
Manly
Titans
Raiders

+ 2 byes....

Roosters have a tough run
Can't see broncos making it - they play too many top 6 sides and have just 1 bye left... Then the Panthers and cowboys are just below them..
