Yeah it was five years ago. 2010/11 still hurts, Tedesco leaving still upsets WT fans, so does '89 if you're a Balmain fan. Wests fans remember Manly pillaging in the 70's. Maybe they should all let it go too? Leagues a tribal game and things like this are not easily forgotten.
And yeah, it was only a Photoshopped image. Honestly, they're coming off three consecutive grand final wins and they are singing the blues about a photo, get a grip...
If anything, the club didn't go far enough, they should have Photoshopped Luai's head on Johnny Sins, complete with WT jersey, while he was chockablock up someone and then superimposed Ivan's head on the receiving party.

They took the photo down, they knew they were wrong. Everyone knows they were wrong. We shouldn't have done it. You may choose to think we did nothing wrong but a wide majority would probably disagree with that.
Let's move on. You're trying to make an issue out of something that doesn't exist.

I was actually thinking that too.
It doesn't apply to this instance exactly but the jersey has a value and in all sporting comps I don't like when a new signing is 'given a jersey'. Until the signing plays a game for WT, Magpies or a feeder club, they haven't earnt that jersey.
But obviously the PR from a photo of a player wearing the jersey outrules the sentiment which is unfortunate.

Since I've followed the game in the late 70s I can't recall ever a coach reneging on the final 2 years of a coaching contract to sign with a rival club.
Players he recruited didn't want to play with the new coach.
He screwed our cap.
He should've been sued for damages

Every club, every team does that. We would've enticed Api, Paps, Luai etc for that too.
If Bellamy had a 2 year contract at Melb and his son was playing for us, would we not knock on his door to break contract?
