OFFICIAL Jarome Luai - #295

I can't see Taylan May in PNG working out well.

Edit - Sorry misread …this was meant in relation to Terrell …

His Vlog will be boring …

I think he has visions of making more money out of that than Rugby League … I see he is pushing the paid membership angle now …

I’ll be really surprised if he goes over there

Jack Williams the next target apparently. Off contract end of 27. Let’s see if they have to wait till November 1 to approach him. Gonna go out on a limb and say they won’t have to.
Maybe Romey might approach him in the meantime ..

Williams Knocking on the door of 30 and his last deal …prime real estate for them

Chiefs need 30 players

There are 17 clubs

Averages suggest each club will lose roughly 2 players

Luai is our first. There’s probably one more to go.

I’m reminding myself that between Chiefs and Bears 60 players (4 per club) need to move. Each club (not just Tigers) will be a little weaker.

The Fainus were here before Luai, are Tongan and Maori (not Samoan like Luai) and are extemely close to Benji.

I don't think we need to worry about them at all, especially with Sione locked down long-term.

Turuva came here because his cousin was our captain more than because Luai came here.

The Mays are probably the greatest flight risk, but they're also tight with Benji and extremely thankful for the opportunity he gave them. Plus they're two personalities who will not suit the PNG lifestyle at all.

The risk of player flight, especially if we keep up our good form this year, is extremely low.

A young single man would struggle over there or someone with a social life or girlfriend

There is only so many Bbqs you can go to could you imagine team bonding BBQs Tuesday night no wife's or kids

Wednesday night family night hosted by Luais wife imagine if you don't get along with her I had a guy from Tonga living next door years ago his wife didn't like me said I drunk to much with her husband great guy as strong as an Ox

Then how big is the compound do you have any personal space you can not hide and have a drink so you need players who don't drink alcohol at all or do drugs and don't like to have sex with different women

The gossip would start and never stop it would be an absolute Cluster Fu{k the chickens would start gossip because there bored

Then you have to watch how you talk around people and kids no bad words or adult jokes

All Honestly it would be Like MAF's or Love Island after 8 months maybe the NRL should have it as a reality TV show after hours Adults only imagine when 1 of the wife's sleeps with the young hot single guy

What was that show when they all lived in the house and got voted out I can not remember the name but it will be like that

It's going to be so interesting

Maybe call the show

The NRL Love Muscle Compound

All birthday parties wedding anniversary and celebrating what ever will be around the pool

It will start great and end horrendous

I’d say the panthers are in the most trouble as many of their premiership players are off contract 28 and would be looking to cash in after winning some trophies

Apparently it’s 10 years. A 20-21 year old could go over there and play his career there and set himself up for life.
Man luai will be lucky to last 2 years , let alone 3 . 10 years ? Having done something similar I was losing my mind after 10 months . There’s no way on earth someone could last 10 years .actually people could … And the people that could , would not be the people you want to recruit.

There’s a chance it could be a one contract deal for most players.

Yeah the nrl have cocked this up royally...they will struggle to recruit...its already been tough for them no marquee signing...no help from the nrl...doubts now on Meninga
Whadda 'ya mean doubts now on Meninga?

Always thought he might struggle a bit, remember his political career.

Can’t for the life of me understand why anyone would boo him. Left the premiers for the wooden spooners (rare in NRL these days) on a now 3 year deal and all signs point to it being a hugely successful turnaround.

Also leaving at age 31 and giving some young halves an opportunity.

Boo our club powerbrokers if they can’t use his money to keep the rest of the gang together.

1 Hundred percent!!
If he stayed the full 5 years with would have lost some young talent, ..

I doubt Meninga will be doing much of the coaching anyways. He'll be a figure head while Gardiner runs things behind the scenes.
