Oh please players are committed to other clubs all through the competition while still under contract, and clubs are happy to offload players when they become surplus.
If you want to be dirty about it, be dirty at the NRL who see no problem with it as long as everyone keeps talking about NRL.
 
Yep, release him on Compassionate Compound grounds, given that he needs to get his Security Bunker ready to keep the actual headhunters at bay for when he puts in the weak performances he's delivered for us far too regularly.
 
He’s not worth 1.2M on the field but he’s still our best 6 by a long long way and there isn’t a 6 in the world that would look good in today’s team.

Pointless discussion letting him go early because it doesn’t gain us anything.

Madden however proved he’s nothing more than a good backup 7.

See how much space was created once Latu got his hands on the ball? Luai is our best right now, cant argue that. Is he best for the team though? Once everyone is back i would argue no he isnt. Latu with AD could be a perfect combo.

I think we look better with Latu in the middle creating space for both AD/Madden and Luai.

Not sure Latu is confident enough in his running game yet. He can break games open if he starts thinking run first.
 
Not much he can do in a badly beaten team but I feel like he actually wasn't too bad all things considered. We looked decent down the left edge.

But glad people are starting to see he was never a 1.2m player. He's an average fg half.

Madden and Doueihi were great together. Madden and Luai not so much. Doueihi is twice the player Luai is.

Hes paid up there with Ponga/Cleary Tedesco/Haas etc

The Luai bashing is stupid. One player does not make a team and we effectively have 5 of our best missing and can't replace them with anything close. A season and half ago you would be hard pressed to find anyone who had time for Douehi now he is being heralded as our best - until he is not again. Our depth is skinny and that impacts the output of every player in the team.
Melbourne lost 7 in a row with possibly three of the best players in game having no impact.

Can't say i disagree Luai hasn't been terrible but he doesn't live up to his price tag whatsoever. Whoever locked down Doueihi is a genius, he's more of a leader on the field than Luai. Off the field is where Luai shines apparently.
I think we dodged a bullet with him going to PNG.

I might add our main problems are also on the opposite side of the pitch.
