Re signings Ivan is a dope.

Remember him paying overs for Adam Reynolds, pushing for Chris McQueen to be signed after a broken neck (also on Madge), he signed a bunch of players that turned into nothing here.

Ivan is a good coach, nay great coach but seriously bad at signing the right talent.

At Penrith he was lucky. He decided to keep the spine and that was the right choice. All his talent though is from the Juniors who have come up through the club. It's only recently that we see Ivan hire anyone that hasn't been a benchwarmer in Papalii, Casey Mclean, Blaize Talagi and that's it. Very known quantities as players.

Ivan is a good coach. He is not a signing genius like Craig Bellamy
 
A little bit of a conspiracy theory maybe, but I feel like the NRL and the Australian government has invested so heavily in PNG and hence Jerome.

Jerome playing crap means it's bad for PNG, worse than us. I don't think the NRL will let that happen
 
I doubt there will be that many families in the compound.

They will probably do their preseason in Australia because there is no way that they survive the humidity and temperatures there.

In terms of the season, they will be flying in and out every second week anyway.

Png will only be used as a place to play games. They might not even play a game there until April or May due to the temperatures. The main thing they are getting there is 12 games a season

Who was our best 5/8 this season, Doueihi or Luai.
Luai new, so offered Benji the option he would sit on the bench or KOE.

But if the NRL players leave China might invade?
 
Think Luai has done us a huge favour by leaving pity our whole season has imploded infront of our eyes as a consequence (partly).
I really would prefer he wasn't with us next season treading water but it is what it is we allowed the ridiculous clauses we have to wear them. One thing for sure is Richo talking like he was the second coming of Jesus Christ himself as a halfback were absolutely half baked.

Pretty sure even Wally would have lost it playing in the wests tigers team yesterday is what the poster was referring to .. even the great Wally Lewis did play in losing teams Tuck , you can check the records mate if you don’t believe it.

He never sat on his hands like some of our experienced do. When he lost he went down swinging.
Luai has never committed like that here

You have said this a couple of times now … it’s at odds with what the PNG Govt and the NRL have been saying to date with the players at least expected to live and train in Port Moresby .,,I would expect at least some to have family in tow

The temperature and humidity in Port Moresby is relatively consistent throughout the year..,, yes it will he difficult .,. But NRL players play games there every year already now wit the Prime Ministers XIII and some test matches .. it’s going to be familiar already to a lot
