Agreed it starts at the top.
But it's always someone else's fault isn't it. They always point the finger at those they have put in charge and take no ownership.

So pay them then with all that extra cap money from the new broadcast deal …spend the extra money improving the squad for 2027 … there is a new hole to fill now

He hasn’t delivered & he is already out the door.
Having him here for next year or not won’t be the deciding factor in making the finals.
He hasn’t really stood up for 80%+ of his games with us.

Luai will find a home easily.

If this is the difference between us keeping the Fainu boys or not, you pick this path anyday of the week. Add to that it would probably mean we have more cash to balance the squad out and we should end up infront.

I have a feeling Benji views Latu is ready and can’t wait another year

Come on mate.. he is by far the best defender in the backs .. he is easily our most classy player and is very respected bwothin the playing group. This is a deadset embarrassing situation as we say one thing and do another .. having jarome at the club for another year is vital and we will regret it forever if we attempt to show him the door. If this was done without Benji input by HBG or some bean counter then I am just so over these idiots being involved with the footy team .. the Koe and Magpies playing at lidcombe and not bofere our nrl team and the division through the pathways is bad enough .. so over the lack of vision and loyalty and leadership

Id find it hard to believe that Benji hasn't been involved...

And if he hasn't...

Well shit is about to hit the fan..

Honestly is this news really that surprising?

The narrative was he was "team first" and "if you look after my family I ain't going anywhere" all whilst leaving the joint the first opportunity he got.

That's going to affect team morale, yes it coincided with some injuries, but it certainly couldn't have helped.

Nothing is impossible at this club … but who else is making the call ? Benji seems to have had full oversight of the roster a while now

Could see this coming. I thought it was funny that a lot of the guys extended with us immediately after Luai signed with PNG. To me it seemed like a statement that they were a tad pissed off with his decision to leave. And despite all the facade of ‘yo bro’ culture with Luai front and centre, we’ve played like crap ever since.

I would not be surprised if he has already played his last game in Wests Tigers colours, he's busted, he has been carrying an injury since early on in the season.

If he does play on for the remainder of the season I think he'll miss more games than he plays.

I agree it’s a big call … I’m hoping he has done it as step one of a plan to bring another player to the club thats already lined up … maybe wishful thinking .., but doesn’t make a lot of sense to me otherwise….

As you have already mentioned, it would be astonishing if it was not Benji’s decision.

There are talks that some were unhappy with Shaun's appointment, I wouldn't put anything past this lot.
