Agree about screwing over the opposition and using what ever competitive advantage you have, but what I find confusing is the references to 10 days, then a mention of 14 days and then there is a mention somewhere about an additional 48 hours is thrown in there somewhere.

Is it 10 days or 10 business days, can anyone clarify these time lines?

There’s definitely a few variations of the rule being floated about.

The issue is he‘s a so called club legend. Yes, I know he isn’t, never even played for WT’s, but that’s the way the media portray him. So could you imagine Thurston publicly discouraging a player signing with the Cowbys or Cam Smith advising a player not to sign with the Storm. Would not happen. Not just because they are far more superior run clubs with greater on field success, but those guys are actually passionate about their respective clubs. Blocker isn’t.

Worrying that it’s not going to happen is not the issue. No one here is here telling Luai to stay clear.

If that's the number then in 2025 with Luai on $1.2M, Bud on $500k, Fainu on $250/300k and Galvin on $200/250k works out to be $2.25M. A savings of around $500k. I don't see the issue.

Sorry guys it was my fault. What happened was a mate of mine who works for the media sent this to me and I shared it with my mate @Pascoes_barber and then it got put onto here.

What my mate didn’t tell me until 5 minutes ago, was that he wrote the article itself and sent it to me as a joke. I should’ve expected it from him given he’s a Dogs fan but I admit he caught me off guard and I shared it to my mates on here thinking it was legit. You cannot find the article because it’s a fake.

Again I apologise for the confusion and hopefully you guys aren’t too upset by it. Sorry for the mistake and I’ll try to be more careful in the future.

They know we’re the most desperate

So they get the lost from us and then see if the dogs can get close

Apparently right now the contract details are being finalized

I mean wouldn’t that all have been done when we submitted our offer ?

You don’t think Richo and our lawyers would be sitting there saying we can make any change needed on the spot to get this done if Penrith has agreed to waive the 19 days

It’s all stalling .

Opinion on Blocker as a pundit is fair game.

But he is absolutely a “club legend”.
To deny that is to ignore both clubs history. WT are not a brand new club, we aren’t the Cowboys or Crushers, we are borne from two foundation clubs and that will always be our history.

IMO any Wests/Balmain legend is, by virtue of the merger, a club legend, and that legacy should never be disregarded, least of all by our own fans.

And, may I add, Blocker was arguably the most revered, dynamic prop of his era. So yes, while Webcke and Lazarus are absolutely modern legends, Blocker’s unique style and skill level put him squarely in the conversation with the great modern day props.

Agree as well , but if he does want to come in 24 I think Richo would work it out and make it happen , Panthers have paid by what’s reported $ 150 k so far salary , they only pay them when it’s due and not up front so maybe $ 600 from us gets him , we have the cash

If he comes here 2024 his Contract just starts early, costs Tigers $1.15M
