Jason Demetriou Axed

So weird that they sign a new halfback, while they're in the process of firing the coach. Usually coaches are very particular about who they want in the 7.

good tactician, terrible man manager. he'll get another job eventually, and I'm sure by then he will have learnt from his mistakes in dealing with big personalities.

Yeah apparently some link between Dodds, Bennett and Kristian Woolf

They signed Dodds telling him Bennett would be there in 25 ( with Woolf as assistant)??

Woolf is Dolphins head coach next year. I reckon Bennett might be a factor for Dodd to sign with Souths if he is going back there.

He should be back from his vacation any day now, although he might be busy visiting sick / under-privileged kids; hugging babies; etc in the presence of TV cameras for a while. Queue the feel-good stories, all the dog acts have been forgotten.

Demetriou was collateral damage.

There is no way Souffs would make Madge coach while they still have Latrine at the club,Latrine would be told the truth very quickly and he would not like it
 
The Bennett curse strikes again!

Bennett focuses on current results and does the bare minimum to build a club up for the future. So, when he leaves, the club always falls into decline due to the lack internal development at the club, kind of like a Ponzi scheme.

IMO Souths would be nuts/desperate hire Bennett again. If he does go to Souths, it will be interesting to see if the Dolphins drop off too.

Dolphins have only been around 2 years. Not a big enough sample size to determine if they go backwards
