Jersey Talk - Mega Thread

Don’t mind this style. How about one with predominantly black (replacing the white sections above), and one predominantly orange.

My current view of the club is that we need to get away from the whole dominant single colour for jerseys, and have a unified brand. So no more Orange and Black predominant individual jerseys that would be seen as a Campbelltown and Leichhardt design.

Thus why a even split for the home in a design that is not predominantly either former brand in design, and a white away which not only gives a good contrast and avoids clashes, but can also be used for games in the hotter days.

it is not even split of home grounds though, club has done deal with CSS to play 7 games minimum

A tigers is predominantly orange and black perhaps the option should be predominantly orange jersey as main jersey and playing the 7 games at CSS

Have you seen a red and black bear?

No matter the ground split the club still has too many divisions, the jersey is one of them. People who can't take a fully black one as it is too Wests, or a fully black one is too Balmain. An even split of colours removes that, so does a design that is not too close to a Wests or Balmain strip. The design I have was inspired by a completely different club from a different sport, then tweaked to its be its own design. And looking at it it very much has elements of the original trial jersey the club wore (the black top, white middle, and orange bottom) which was not based on anything but being its own design, and then the one that we had which had the thin orange and white stripes, which I then did a full body concept a few years ago. Again not based on any single club, but something that was unique to the club now.

If we are to get over the divide and move forward as a single club, we need to remove the whole black vs orange, or wests vs balmain ideas, and go with something that is just what it is a Wests Tigers jersey. That is what I have tried to design here, two designs that are not anything but that, something that cannot be called too much of one, or too much of the other, and can be worn as much as possible, with the alternate only there for clashes or when a light colour would be beneficial for the heat.

We can then do specialty or one offs on top of that as we do now.

the mock one you did is pretty good, I wouldnt go near a white alternative though.
Orange is a unique colour in the league, it should be used more in our designs

Well the white was a quicker mock up, and not a fully I 100% want it as the alternate. But whatever it is, it needs to be white.

because white is a crap jersey colour imo
like a black jersey and I like a orange jersey
both jerseys sell well
2010 2011 jerseys were great as an example
the orange jersey this year sold well
the fans were rightly frustrated no black jersey this year, orange can be the alternate jersey colour when we play the teams with black jerseys

What fans were frustrated? The main frustration was we didn't wear it enough.

The home was very well received, sold out multiple times, says that it was quite popular.

Love black jerseys
Understand its not ideal for hotter days though.

We've had some amazing ones over the past few years.

Love ya work @Craegus

Nothing beats a black jersey with the orange V

Theres always been a lot of selfishness, immaturity ...and as @Craegus suggests, divide on this topic.
Kudos to you on trying to get past this.
Things like the jersey should be 40% one colour blah blah...seriously ridiculous

Yeah i have my likes and not likes so much on merch, but if something helps bring the club together a bit.more im for it regardless of hiw much % of what colour and how many logos are on it...sadly i think with our owner and opinions we read on this topic that will be a tough ask
