I think Mbye is a better defensive organiser and gets himself in a better position more often at full back, he also has a better passing game and can act as a extra playmaker. Thompson is better at supporting line breaks and running against a broken defensive line.

We get far better value from Mbye at fullback when he is confident and playing well.

I agree with this. I think Mbye is out of form this year but is a much better fullback than Thompson. Last year he was excellent.

Mbye was excellent at fullback in the 2nd half again Raiders a few weeks ago. It is very expensive to get rid of players, lets give Madge some time to get him sorted. It is amazing what confidence will do for a players form.
