Announced his retirement today at just 24\. Sad to see a career cut so short by an horrific injury - something we know all to well in tiger town!

From what I understand his injury was very similar to Tuiakis

Real shame , good player , would of been of Qld SOO player for many years

Wish him the best of luck with his future

Yeah it's quite sad to hear. Here's hoping he has some other goals he can achieve and keep his head straight.

Very sad, he comes from very good stock in both Rugby League and Boxing. I'm sure he will succeed in whatever he may pursue in life. Good luck for the future Jharal Yow Yeh.

Very gifted athlete. Hopefully there is something else he can try his hand at.

I wonder if the NRL has given him Tuiaki's or Dyer's phone numbers? Would be good for him to have someone to talk to who knows what he's going through.

Hopefully the ARLC gives him a job to tutor young players on the transition from potential Superstar to just another player, not being sarcastic but it seems that a shoulder to cry on can be very beneficial.
Still not trying to be a narc but a career is there to advise the also rans on an alternative career if Qld Cup or NSW Cup isn't satisfying enough, we have to keep players in all levels of RL and not let them drift off to Yawnion or just not playing at all.
Back in my playing days it wasn't unusual for A/ former NSWRL player to earn a few extra $$$ at the end of their career in the country, we had Alan Neil & Scott Gustard as captain coaches or B/ you had the players who couldn't quite cut it at the top level but were happy to Captain Coach in the bush Re: Greg Hay & Billy Rose.
P.S. a prize to the person who recognises the late lamented club!.

Devastating news.
Hope he's manage it OK.

Could've been anything, so much talent.

I have heard under the new collective agreement he gets paid out his next 2 years of his NRL contract in full. That is something good that the players association has done.

I don't think TNT or Simon Dwyer got the same. I hope the club looked after both of them.

He has a highlights package that any 10 year veteran of the game would envy. Huge talent huge loss for the game.
