I like this Roberts signing, it's like the Idris signing years ago. It may not work, but it's a low risk for high reward.

Iam pleased we have some speed in the backline...Jimmy will definately know he is on his last chance at this level...kudos to Madge,Pascoe and co for at least giving him the chance to show his true form..if he fails he only has himself to blame...
This is also a great opportunity to show the NRL that the WTs are compassionate with players that have had demons to deal with,but still give the player the chance to redeem themselves...very low $$ loss if he fails...He could also get back to his great form with Madge coaching him...

I’d be half tempted to play Roberts on the wing purely for his pace. A bit like Nofa and BJ at times his judgement in defence can be a bit of a worry.

It’d be nice to see some genuine pace on the flank but I’m not too sure how he’d go under a high ball or against a taller opponent.

Allows us to play one of Talau, Momo or AJ in their preferred centre roles too.

That straight up shows humility , and accountability for mine . Also the fact he’s being steered towards a coach who won’t even remotely take his crap , shows he has people around him who care.
The guy when he’s on is better than just about any edge backline player . He’s just always absent mentally . I for one hope he kills it both

100% agree, some signings in the past have come out of the blue without even a word & others have been all but guaranteed & then completely fallen over.
