Jimmy the Jet

As much as I have seen some improvement from JTJ it is pretty clear that if we want to play finals football Centre is a position we really need to fix. There are some excellent centres playing who are really stamping their mark on games - unfortunately ours are doing so as well but in a negative way not a positive one.
Personally I don't see why AD (at centre) can't play as a playmaker and key ball player/receiver in the side as well as Hastings, Brooks and a lock (also add the 9 and the 1) - just watch the Storm. Positions and numbers mean much less nowadays, it's about attacking plays all over the park and the ability to strike in play after play. Having more ball players gives you more options and makes the opposition hesitate. In an oversimplified analysis of the Storm's style - Bellamy has grunt players/workers and ball players/finishers, he doesn't restrict his spine players or his capable ball players to channels or positions. Grant, Smith, Hughes, Munster, Paps and last year Hynes, all pop up everywhere and anywhere.

Waiting for the announcement he’s out this week
It's already announced...

Can't string two together...
Some want him extended?

Give him an off field job if he wants and free up a spot for some legit centres.

I hope for his own sake JTJ finds form, but we have Douehi coming back and will waltz into the position.

Also, there's the young manly centre we nabbed. Captain of their side and an out and out centre. A year or two away from NRL but long term could be our first pick centre.
agree Douhie can slot in to JTJ centre spot and give us extra options

wasnt all that sure that he was playing last week until he got tackled without the ball
so if he has an attacking influence it wasnt last monday

This is it for me.
He looks gassed after any effort play and his body can't handle week in week out footy.
If he is the best we can do next year, whoever is managing our roster needs to be punted.
We have cash, we have roster spots and we should be recruiting and hard for 3-4 centres in our ranks.
Should sign Kiraz and Shoup from the dogs.
Stuck behind Naden, Burns, Allan.

Both look very strong.

I don't like reacting off 1 game, Kiraz didn't look out of place & fits the mould of some young talent as he can still play Flegg. He is also very highly rated at the Bulldogs. Naden is signed for this year only. Burns and Allen can't see being infront for long if they keep losing.

Schoupp is contracted for another 3yrs at the Bulldogs so scrap that from the list.

Theres good points, simply on the basis that you want your best players and those in form, with their hands on the ball or given opportunities as often as possible.

Madge is switching positions at times, looks to me like structure more than elite based.

AD has to play, but the new halves pairing worked well against a top flight side and it has to catastrophically fail before I’d be meddling with it.

More games together, as strike, it’s fair to predict they should blossom with more experience.

If Cody has a sleeper, we will be in that fight.

Watching Renno nail it for Brisbane tonight was just a matter of time. Probably doesn’t help the bunnies morale.

I like the jet, he is a good head, very capable but I wouldn’t mind seeing him in amongst jacko/brooksy/AD-

All players have strengths and weaknesses. You might use him against some sides but not others.

Hey, who’d be an nrl coach?!

We should be able to beat the bunnies. They can be hot and cold, not as composed as they were.

You might have it around they wrong Way Geo...
May well be the best middle forward in the comp who absolutely tears teams to shreds
- who's also destructive (Not as much) on an edge.
No, he has it the right way around. He’d be excellent in the middle but unlocks more attack playing on an edge - Parra made the mistake of moving him to the middle last year and they still got plenty of quality work from him but less breaks off the back of his runs.
