JJ Felise looks like a big forward and he could be moved up in to the tigers nrl side from the U20's team.Looks like he has a good build and strong legs to continue driving when in the tackle.
I heard he also plays for Queensland in the U20 state of origin comp.If he does make it in the the nrl side he could be an exciting player to watch. I know i will be on the lookout for him in the tigers Jersey next year.In the u20's team he ran over 100m in every game last year. To me he seems like he will work hard for his spot in the team.He averages about 19 tackles and 12 hit-ups a game. But most of all he only missed 11 tackles the whole season which adds to 0.5 missed tackles a game which is want we need in defence.

Last Season he had extended injury, but when fit he was always the go forward option.
With Junior Tatula, Cassel, Marsters and Graham and Grant we have group of
solid, young, big and
powerful forwards.

He has some big wraps. I was impressed with him and Tatola last year. Both were generally a year younger than other starting props but held their own. It's hard to pick which big guys will make it from the 20s. Some are good purely because they're big, but when they come up against men they aren't nearly as effective. To me these two guys have a better chance than others as their work rate is quiet good. They don't just run over the top of smaller guys than have a bridge for 2 sets like lots of big NYC forwards.
 
Tyler Cassel looks a classy footballer to me, maybe a touch light in weight right now. I thought he was a standout in the backrow, so was Bailey Sironen. Both played all over Matt Woods in the games I saw, though Woods I had heard wraps on for a longer period.

Always good to have emerging forwards talent. Sure not all of these guys will make it big time, but glad to have options at this time.

I suspect we will see a game or 2 off the bench late in teh Year with 2017 being his year.

Tatola is also a chance.

Tyler Cassel was the surprise packet for me last year, thought he was terrific, well above my expectations for him.

I also though Jordan Grant came along quite well in the latter part of the season….
 
JJ is the most likely of our young forwards to make the step up. He has decent size, but has a huge work rate, regularly making 150m+ and 30 tackles+. Think he ran over 200m 6-7 times too. He's also quite intelligent for a prop, has a good offload and is very good in defence.

Some props in NYC just use their size, he's not as big as some, but his leg drive, positioning and skills makes him a top prospect. Better than Tatola, Sirro or any of the others.

When he was injured i think we lost at least 75% of the games, yet when he played we won 75%. Makes a huge difference to the team and will get good gametime in nsw cup this year.
 
Hard to believe many parents didnt know if Junior was a boy or a girl when he first started at Holy X….he had very long hair in a pony tail

Strange to read about kids on here that my son played against as kids.

Felise has been tipped to be our rookie of the season, or some nonsense like that. Of all our players in the NYC, he certainly looks capable, very good motor and strong as an ox. Tyler Cassel is not very big but is certainly impressing so far in the pre-season. He has one of the best defensive techniques I've seen in years. Very interested to see how Marion Seve goes during the pre-season also.

Logan Brothers have produced some handy footballers over the years

A certain Cameron Smith's ,Corey Parker ,Lote Tuqiri ,Brad Meyers ,Junior Sau , Gerard Beale , Josh Papalii , Antonio Winterstein ,Ricky Leutele and Mark Tookey's junior club
 
Don't forget Ray Stone, Pio Sokobalava and Pifeliti Pifeliti.

Ray Stone in particular has the best defensive technique and hitting ability I have seen and he was SG Ball eligible this year.

Pifeliti has one of the most decorated junior rep resumes I've seen coming through. Has been a rep player his entire junior career.

Tyler can be our Adam Docker, good with the fans too, doesn't have a big ego on his shoulders. Really hope he makes it.
 
Tyler might start getting a game or two in first grade by halfway through the season. Highly doubt they'd chuck someone of his size in to the nrl without at least having a dozen games at nsw cup level first. He played a couple of nsw cup games last year so now with a full off season he's got to build on that…

And Willow i think Foxsports had an article highlighting one nyc players from each club who might get a shot at nrl this year as a surprise packed, they chose Felise. Interesting selection as you'd think they'd have gone for someone like Sirro jnr jnr just because of his name
